We’re a day late, but Reign said that’s fine... being a dad means always running five minutes behind and still acting like you planned it.

Happy (belated) Father’s Day to Reign, our resident dog dad, part-time philosopher, full-time snack enthusiast, and the guy who swears he “wasn’t sleeping, just resting his eyes.”

He’s passed down his signature fluff, his ridiculously good looks, and probably a solid collection of dad jokes if he could talk. ("You pups better not be ruffing around in the yard!") Also, yes, those glasses are prescription for spotting nonsense from a mile away.

Here’s to you, Reign: raising chaos and cute puppies one nap at a time.

We’ve been keeping something very exciting under wraps… and the wait is finally over!

Southpaw Pomskies has a new heartthrob in town, and trust us, he’s well worth the hype.

Meet 🧡🌿 WILDER🌿🧡our future stud and the newest love interest of our leading ladies, Lavender and Fable!

This little guy may be small in size, but he comes with some seriously big shoes to fill, and we have no doubt he’s up for the task. Wilder’s pedigree speaks for itself: both of his parents are award-winning Pomskies, including his father who took home Best in Show at the 2024 Pomsky Showdown. With a legacy like that, it’s no surprise we expect great things from this boy.

We expect him to mature around 10 to 15 lbs, which means he’s not only adorable, he’s exactly what we were hoping for to help us produce stunning puppies with outstanding structure, including some future mini and micro Pomskies starting in 2026.

But let’s talk personality, because this boy has it in spades. He’s spunky, sweet, confident, and already charming the socks off of his future lady loves, Lavender and Fable, (and us, of course). We’re so grateful to his guardian family for welcoming him with open arms and giving him such a loving home. While he’ll be enjoying life with his amazing guardian family, this won’t be the last you see of him! We’ll be seeing him often for training, playdates, and plenty of bonding time with the girls.

Wilder completes the trio that will shape the next chapter for Southpaw Pomskies, and we couldn’t be more excited about the future ahead. This is a huge milestone for our program, and we’re so proud to finally share it with you.

Tiny paws, big plans, and a wildly exciting road ahead.
🌿🧡Welcome to the Southpaw pack, Wilder🧡🌿

While we were busy bringing home ribbons at the 2025 Pomsky Showdown, a very special milestone passed: the Mayflower puppies turned one! We’ve got some catching up to do, so get ready for birthday updates over the next few weeks on these beautiful pups.

Juneau has blossomed into an absolute stunner. With her black and white coat and luxurious wooly fur, she carries the striking features of both her parents: the bold, classic markings of her dad Reign, and the graceful elegance of her mama Calliope. She is truly the best of both.

According to her mom, Juneau has taken city life in stride. She adores her daycare crew, lights up at puppy playdates, and charms everyone she meets. Her mom calls her the sweetest, most outgoing pup, "absolutely perfect", and we couldn’t agree more.

We’ve included a few throwback puppy photos in this post to celebrate just how far she’s come from a tiny Mayflower to a stunning city girl.

Happy 1st birthday, Juneau girl. You may have started small, but you’ve grown into something extraordinary. 💫

Surprise! If you’ve been wondering why we’ve been a little quiet this past week… now you know why.

We’re still pinching ourselves after an unforgettable weekend at the 2025 Pomsky Showdown.

We packed up the whole Southpaw crew—Reign, Calliope, Lavender, and little Fable—and drove 14 hours, not knowing what to expect and simply hoping to enjoy the experience, cheer on our fellow breeders, and show our support for this incredible community. We could never have imagined walking away with not just one… but six ribbons.

We came in humble and hopeful, just grateful for the chance to support the breed we love and spend time among so many talented dogs and breeders. We could never have imagined how this weekend would unfold.

🏆 Southpaw Long May He Reign “Reign”
First Place Mini Male 15+ months
Champion Dog Mini (all ages)
Reign’s win meant even more after hearing what the judge had to say. She spent several minutes commenting on how difficult his class was to judge, calling it one of the most competitive groups she’s seen. Every dog in that ring, she said, represented the Pomsky standard with incredible consistency and quality. For Reign to rise to the top in a lineup like that? We couldn’t be prouder of our steady, stunning boy.

🏆 Southpaw Poetry in Motion “Calliope”
Second Place Mini Female 15+ months
Calliope stepped into the ring with half a coat and all heart. She went through a full-blown coat blowout just two weeks before the show. Most breeders wouldn’t dream of entering a dog without their full show coat, but we just didn’t have the heart to keep her out. She lives for this. The ring is her happy place, and she floated across the floor like it was made for her. To place in that condition? That’s grit, structure, and the heart of a true champion.

🏆 Southpaw Lavender Haze “Lavender”
First Place Mini Female 12–15 months
Reserve Champion Mini Female (all ages)
This was Lavender’s very first show as an adult, and gone is the awkward puppy stage. She stepped into the ring with grace, confidence, and maturity beyond her age. In her adult debut, she blew us away by making it all the way to the top and being crowned Champion Female Reserve. We couldn’t be more proud of our girl.

🏆 Southpaw Once Upon a Dream “Fable”
Second Place 3–6 Month Micro Female
This was Fable’s first time in the ring, and she absolutely shined. The only thing holding her back was a technicality. Due to puppy class registrations being based solely on weight, she was required to enter the micro division even though her height clearly placed her more appropriately in the mini class. The judge told us, “If that’s not a mini Husky, I don’t know what is.” We know her time is coming, and when she’s placed where she truly belongs, she’s going to make waves.

We’re heading home with full hearts and more gratitude than we can put into words.

To Maine Aim Ranch and the entire team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for hosting such a well-run, welcoming, and passionate event. Every detail was thoughtfully done, and it means so much to be part of something that celebrates the future of this breed so beautifully.

And to AKC Judge Amy Gau, your presence was a true gift. Thank you for your time, your wisdom, and your care in evaluating each dog with such professionalism. Your insights are helping pave the way for Pomskies to move one step closer to full AKC recognition, and we’re honored to have had the chance to learn from you.

This weekend was a reminder of why we do this. Not for the ribbons, but for the love of the breed, the camaraderie, and the chance to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Fable turns four months old this week, and we’re honestly starting to think she knows she’s the main character. She’s deep into her conformation show training, but let’s be real, this girl was born ready for the spotlight. You think she’s learning to stack? No. She’s learning to smolder.

We live in a town where the #1 scenic backdrop is “corn, but make it depressing,” so naturally we went on a full-blown floral crusade to find anything that didn’t look like the opening credits of a tractor ad. We found one rose bush. Fable claimed it like a Disney villain rebranding as a cottagecore influencer.

She has no flaws. She has never known struggle. She smells like fresh petals and distant superiority.

This is not a puppy. This is an aesthetic event.

Last photo is your reminder to always tip your models generously.
