"Special" was born June 18, 2023. He is truly unique due to his breeding. He is 3/8 Percheron, 3/8 performance bred AQHA, 2/8 Gypsy Vanner(Westmoreland).He's been blessed with good action, good bone, good looks, and intelligence. He's going to be a gentle giant. “Lady” was born on 8/10/2006 and is a wonderful trail riding mare! She has not been ridden hard and has a lot of life left! She is in her prime and ready to continue riding the trails. She was off for quite a few months, pulled out of the pasture and taken on a trail and acted like she never missed a day! I have a signed transfer of her papers. First day fully saddled. As usual had there first bucks and crow hops. She calmed down after a bit. She will be a gorgeous mover under saddle! She will get you noticed in the showpen!

He was a little weary of someone being above him so i took the extra time to teach how to park up to the fence and then moving all around while being above him to simulate me being above him. It helped building his confidence to where i could do a first sit!

From building confidence with ground driving to the first sit! Love how i can take these unstarted c**ts from the pasture after a few days off and a little refreshment of groundwork and they seem to improve so much.

After some days of preparation and 2 days of grounddriving and wearing the bit reign, a quarter horse/gypsy vanner cross, had her first sit. I yeilded the hindquarters and called it a day. Im excited for the progress this filly will be making in no time!

After a eventful day of trips and unexpected rain all day, the sun decided to show itself the last few hours of daylight for me to go groom and love on these prospects. They are both exceptionally built with great minds, color, and hair to back it up! After some training this summer they will be available!

One Quarterhorse/ Gypsy vanner cross filly that ive had the opportunity to watch grow from a newborn foal to now starting undersaddle this summer. She is alert and willing but still possesses that calm and confident demeanor! She has had all the groundwork done this past December and will be taking through a refresher and then get started while i record her progress. She is one filly that will be a head turner anywhere she goes and will be available.

Teaching foals to be model citizens from a young age may be a task to some but I find it to be a process that requires patience and understanding of how a young horse brain works. Teaching one to lead, pick up their feet and find enough relaxation to cuddle with their handlers is always a joy as their trainer. Giving baths and tying are skills that come later on when they have more of a attention span to be able to cooperate for longer periods of time without causing panic.

In my training, I like a horse to have a good set of basic skills before ever attempting to saddle or even ride. The exercises that are in this video in order are lunging, sending around (which has a bit of backing in that video), flexing, yielding the hind quarter and forequarters. These exercises are all used to prepare c**ts for under saddle training and what i would expect a c**t to be able to perform while getting green broke.

I'm Katelynn Warriner and since 2017, when I started working with horses, I knew training was in my blood and future. I started with a horse or two of my own and Grandma's. Then I had the opportunity to work for a local breeder where I
handled all duties of a stable hand, assisted with breeding, grooming and training.
Although most were performance bred AQHA horses, I was fortunate to imprint, train and start a variety of ages and breeds including Gypsy Vanners and Pintos.
Prior to working at the ranch, I'd read, watched tapes and studied everything I could. I primarily use Clinton Anderson techniques and believe on working with the horse, not breaking its spirit.
I've successfully started several c**ts and got a good handle on them. I'm currently a student pursuing an agriculture degree at Conners State College with the emphasis being their equine program. I've received so much positive feedback from my instructors and look forward to working with your horse.
I'm returning to the ranch this summer where I'll have access to a nice round pen, stalls, paddocks plus a good sized lot.
