🎄☃️ Make This Holiday Season Special with Snowy Paws! 🐾❄️

Looking for a unique holiday gift or a fun way to keep your child entertained during Christmas break? Our Snowy Paws Program is the perfect mix of hands-on activities and holiday cheer! Over three exciting days—December 26th, 27th, and 30th—kids will:

❄Create enrichment treats and cozy blankets for shelter animals 🐶🐱
❄Play animal-themed games and make fun crafts to take home 🎨
❄Tour our shelter and spend time with adoptable pets ❤️

This camp runs from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM and is open to children ages 7 to 11. The cost is $125 per child, and we ask that campers bring a packed lunch and drink each day.

📦 Pre-Orders (Shipped): Calendars will be mailed out by December 4th.
🏠 Pre-Orders (Pick-Up): You can pick up your calendar at the shelter during business hours (Monday-Friday 12 PM - 6 PM & Saturday-Sunday 12 PM - 5 PM) starting December 4th.
🛒 Didn’t Pre-Order? No problem! Calendars will be available for purchase at the shelter beginning December 4th.

Our Home For The Holidays Applications are open NOW!

🎄What: We are seeking foster families for any shelter animals not yet adopted over the holidays!

❄️When: Foster families will pick up animals on the day of Monday, December 23rd, and will return them either between January 7th-10th or January 14th - 17th for dog foster families, and between January 14th-17th for cat and pocket pet foster families.

☃️Why: Short-term fostering provides a safe, relaxing, temporary home for our animals over the holidays - and is a great way for THS to learn more about the animals in a home environment! Foster families are highly encouraged to take photos, advertise their foster pets to friends/family, and take notes on their personalities and likes - everything you do for your foster pet helps them get closer to finding their forever home!

Our "Home for the Holidays" foster application is now open - so prep your house with an extra stocking or two, and help us clear the shelters this holiday season!❤️💚

Dear Toledo,

My name is Sully, and I’m searching for something I’ve never truly had—a family who will love me unconditionally. I’m 2 years old, 80 pounds of pure loyalty, and they tell me I’m a gentle giant. But my heart has been broken. You see, I was abandoned by the person I thought would love me forever. It was Officer Courtney who saved me and brought me here to the Toledo Humane Society, where I’ve been waiting patiently for a second chance.

Despite everything, I still believe in love. I’ll show you my heart of gold if you give me a chance. I know how to lay down and even give my paw. I’m crate trained, and I do great with potty training when I’m on a schedule. I might be shy at first, but I warm up quickly, and once I do, I’ll be your most loyal companion.

It's about that time of year and we are preparing for this to be our best Home For The Holidays event yet!

Home for the holidays allows our shelter animals to find a short-term home for a couple weeks over the holidays! This also allows staff to deep clean the entire shelter while it is empty! 🤩
Not only does it help the animals and the shelter staff BUT you get your puppy or kitty fix too!🥰

After raising her little blooms in foster care, Daisy is back with her original foster mom, awaiting a loving family to help her blossom. 🌷

Daisy can be shy at first, but once she’s settled, she becomes the perfect, gentle companion. She’d thrive in a quiet to moderate energy home, where she can slowly warm up to her human friends. Daisy also does well with other cats—she just needs a little time to get to know them!
