Say hello to the newest (and absolutely adorable!) member of the Anthony Wayne Animal Hospital pack — Mabel! 💕 This sweet Lab/Mastiff mix came in for her very first vet visit at just 9 weeks old and already has our hearts melting. 🐶💉

Weighing in at 15.3 pounds of pure puppy cuteness, Mabel loves chewing and her favorite toy is her crocodile! 🐊 We can’t wait to watch her grow and be part of her journey every step of the way.

☀️🌻 Happy First Day of Summer! 🌻☀️

As we welcome the sunshine and longer days, don’t forget that summer heat can be dangerous for our pets. 🐶🐱

Here are a few simple tips to help keep your furry friends safe and cool this season:

🌡️ Avoid the hottest part of the day: Walk your dog early in the morning or later in the evening when temps are cooler.
🔥 Watch for hot pavement: If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for their paws!
🚰 Keep fresh water available at all times — dehydration can happen fast.
🚗 Never leave pets in parked cars — even a few minutes can be life-threatening.
🌳 Provide shade and cool resting areas when outdoors.
⚠️ Know the signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse. If you suspect heatstroke, contact your veterinarian immediately!
