PUPDATE...
This is the cutest. Blondie, who is now Cricket, just turned 1 year old.
Baxter's, (Bentley), new buddy Slinky. When they first met here at the rescue Baxter was afraid of Slinky because he is just a puppy and plays hard. Now with time and loving life it looks like they've become great friends.
On this day of giving thanks we here at AARF would like to say how thankful we are to all that donate, volunteer, follow, and support our little rescue. We can't say it enough, but without all of you we wouldn't be able to do what we do.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES.
Newman came to our rescue 7 months ago. He was a very shy dog who wouldn't let us touch him. Newman was happy with other dogs but wanted to be just left alone by humans. We didn't push the issue we just let him be who he was, and we knew when he was ready, he'd trust us. A few months ago, we tried walking him, figuring he had observed all the others going for their walk so he'd want to try it, we were wrong, so we didn't push him. Just this week the volunteers went in to leash up Cotton, his roommate, and Newman came running up excited to maybe go for a walk. Well, we were so surprised, he allowed them to leash him up and off he went. He is still a shy boy, but with more time we know this little man can come around to loving hugs and petting. We love the dedication our volunteers put into all of our dogs, but especially these shy ones.
Here is Newman and Cotton on their walk to the play yard.

GOING HOME...
Little Ding Ding was reunited with her Dad today. As you can see they were both very excited to see each other. Ding Ding is scheduled to be altered and have her teeth cleaned in a few weeks. The vet suggested to give her a little time away from the babies to dry up. A very happy tails to this family. We were so blessed to be able to help out.

PUPDATE....
After being adopted as a baby IV sadly had to be returned to AARF in October 2020 but within 24hours of arrival a new forever home scooped her up! She is now the queen of her domain and enjoys hunting all the lizards and birds that she can find.
Then in March or 2021 Oliver was returned to AARF because his original adopter could not keep him. Forever home to the rescue! IV needed a friend and he was the perfect guy that deserved a second chance. The two of them could not be more fun together! They play almost non-stop. IV prefers sleeping on my legs and Ollie prefers sleeping on my face! They get along with everyone and have been doing obedience school to meet new friends.
