Double M Stockdogs is owned and ran by Molly, Steve and Mary Alice Wisecarver. We offer puppies and older dogs occasionally, herding lessons, in house training and boarding, clinics and a facility for trials. We are commited to producing Border Collie and Australian Shepherds for any type of competition from herding and agility to obedience and conformation, our dogs can truly do it all, and with style!

Seasons Greeting from Double M Stockdogs and Herding School. December is a special time to many people, friends & family. Late to update but Molly's DBLM Houston finished his herding championship title a few weekends ago. Such a fun dog, and he reminds me a lot of my old Austin.

My first run is over at Meeker. As many of you know trialing can bring you to the top fast and then take you to the bottom all in one day. Well, my run wasnt much of a run but I have grown and had fun the short time I was at the post. Not sure what went wrong but I have three good guesses…. Lololololo
1. The ATV went up the field just before my run on the left side (I sent to the Right)
2. The rocks on the left side looked like sheep lolololo (my dog was not the only one that thought that either)
3. She was leading out to far on the right, so I called her back before I sent her and that made her think I wanted her to go to the left lololololo
Whatever it was that made her cross over and look for sheep on the left I have no idea. She is a great dog, and one run does not define who either of us are. I would not have been able to say that a few years ago. Tomorrow I run my very young dog….. Who knows what she will do…… Maybe win lololololo you never know.

It's Aussie week! Share a picture of your aussie in the comments! This is Mary Alice's Hope, out of DBLM Houston, working ducks.

We are getting prepped for our upcoming trial this weekend! It's amazing to watch our dogs work, and how the different breeds vary greatly in style. DBLM Houston

Took Roger out to work some ducks. He's only been on birds a handful of times, and keeps a level head while working them. Love how he paces, covers all of them, and rolls back to relieve pressure. He's quickly becoming my right hand man for chores as Levi approaches retirement. Roger is the sire of our upcoming litter.

Pete is a nice 5-year-old male looking for his own operation. He's easy to manage, responsive, knows his directions, and hits heel and head on cattle. He also works sheep, and is very sensible. Would make someone an excellent chore dog. As an added bonus: he's comfortable working off horseback. PM for more information. Pedigree in the comments.
