Rat-urday is this weekend!!!
Rat 'n Go's are mock Barn Hunt trials, allowing teams to go through the motions of trialing in a low stakes environment. It's a great way to combat ring nerves. Teams will experience waiting in a blind. Each team will get 3 runs. We still have a few openings:
1pm- 2 spots available
2pm- 4 spots available
3pm- 4 spots available

Classes February 8/9

Classes offered on which day/days will depend on the demand. Senior is usually in the morning followed by Open/Novice and end with Intro Seminars. You MUST email me, [email protected], with your dog’s NAME and BREED, which day/time is best and the CLASS you are wanting. They are in Inver Grove Heights and $25/dog. I try to do 4 dogs/class hour and up to 10 dogs for Intro Seminars if we can be outside, not winter, for the introduction part otherwise it’s 5 maybe 6 dogs. I will make the schedule up the Monday before and send out confirmation emails followed with a PayPal invoice. Once the schedule is set it is hard to add dogs except for the Intro Seminars. The shed is not temperature controlled and at a private residence. I do have a couple small space heaters to help take the chill off. Dogs can wear coats when in the ring for classes. Dogs hunt better in cold weather than warm. There is NO public bathroom. Details will be sent out once I receive payment. Once you sign up and pay, there are no refunds unless I can replace your run.

I was proud to award the Louie Spirit Award to Don and Sue Evers. They are such a positive attribute to the sport of barn hunt and been supportive of this club for many years. Love you guys and thank you again!! I think my smile says it all! Thank you again to Brenda Holman for making this beautiful and very special ribbon out of the ribbons Louie had earned. Sorry for all the tears shed. ❤️❤️

I want to thank you all that braved the January weather to have fun with your pups. It could have been worse and has been many times. Thank you to those that helped set up and packed up. It’s no small task and we even had new people help out. The committee worked hard and with everyone that helped out to volunteer, it made the trials run smoothly! Thank you to the judges with their fun courses and with their welcoming demeanor, the handlers had fun whether they Q’d or not. We had many title ribbons handed out but most importantly there were MANY smiles which makes putting on these trials worth all the effort. Hope everyone has a great winter and see you all in the spring for the April trials. Happy Hunting!!!

Are you entered Friday for our January trial in Hutchinson or just want to help out? I am looking for a few able bodied people to help set up. You need to be able to lift and move bales. We start around 10:00. Please message me privately if interested for details.

Just wanting to give a heads up that the Hutchinson trials close Tuesday. This means that if you need to pull any runs you may do so and receive a full refund, minus any Paypal fees, if done by then. It also means that you can still enter with the lower cost per run if she receives an online entry that day or before or if postmarked Tuesday or before. You can still enter late and DOS, if not full, but the price per run increases. So don’t delay and get those entries sent!!! Can’t wait to see you all!!
