Here are the titles earned at the Chippewa Falls trials. Congrats to all and also to those that came and had fun even without earning ribbons. Please post a picture with your brag.

I want to thank all that came to our Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin event. With a smaller trial, volunteers are harder to find throughout the day and once again had wonderful people step up and help out. It was a challenging trial for me this time with some unfortunate circumstances but my committee stepped up and worked their butts off to make this trial run smoothly. Thank you to Sue Kendall and Andrea Kulju for judging. We are hoping to be back next year.

Finally the weather looks cool enough to start classes again!!

Classes September 7/8

Classes offered on which day/days will depend on the demand and weather, too warm. Senior is usually in the morning followed by Open/Novice and end with Intro Seminars. You MUST email me, [email protected], with your dog’s NAME and BREED, which day/time is best and the CLASS you are wanting. They are in Inver Grove Heights and $25/dog. I try to do 4 dogs/class hour and up to 10 dogs for Intro Seminars if we can be outside, not winter, for the introduction part otherwise it’s 5 maybe 6 dogs. I will make the schedule up the Monday before and send out confirmation emails followed with a PayPal invoice. Once the schedule is set it is hard to add dogs except for the Intro Seminars. The shed is not temperature controlled and at a private residence. There is NO public bathroom. Details will be sent out once I receive payment. Once you sign up and pay, there are no refunds unless I can replace your run.

Previous winners, thus not eligible again at this time are:

Judge of the Year: Laurits (Dix) Dixon, Pam Opanowitz, Colin Ratcliffe,
Cathy Hoese, Joyce Shively

We will be setting up at 11:00 this morning. It’s only two ring this time!!😉 Any help is appreciated. ❤️❤️

Brenda, my secretary, will be leaving to be onsite Thursday. Her last day of getting postal mail will be Wednesday. If you haven’t mailed your entry yet, it will need to be emailed or hand delivered at the site.

08/10/2024

Final confirmations and the welcome letter have been emailed. Please read both to make sure your entry is correct and there is a lot of info in the letter. Make sure you email Brenda any conflicts with confirmation times so she can try to schedule you appropriately. We can always use help setting up Friday if you are bored and want a bit of a workout!! 😁

08/02/2024

Once again after looking at the number of entries so far for the trial and lack of people signed up for the Intro seminar, I need to decide whether or not to only have one judge for the Chippewa Falls event. Trial closes Wednesday. If you are planning to enter or sign up for the seminar, please comment and get your entries in because that is the day that I will need to decide by.

Brenda has a new email server as of Saturday, July 6. Sometimes that will cause new emails to go to spam. If you are expecting an email from her, such as an entry confirmation, be sure to check spam. If you see it, mark it as "not spam" so future emails are ok.

Thank you to everyone that attended our seminars, fun test, and trials at the Summer Solstice event in Cambridge. Sarah Bostock did great judging her fun test. Thanks to those that stuck around and ran their dogs for her to achieve her numbers needed. This was Sue Kendall’s first judging assignment and she did awesome and looked like she’s been doing this for awhile!! Shelley Ingram came back once again from Canada to judge a knowingly tough venue. Great thanks to Liz Hawkins for agreeing to judge last minute. They all had great courses and challenged the handlers and their pups. I was grateful for better weather than previous years. For all that stepped up and volunteered, we are all grateful. A trial cannot run smooth without great help inside and outside the ring. For those that attended new to this sport, welcome to the family. I hope to see you all again. I was most grateful once again for those that helped set up and packed up. Thank you all got you patience for my pickiness with needing to divide the equipment between the trailers for our August trial in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. My biggest thank you is to Brenda, my secretary!!! She works tirelessly and endlessly putting together the running order and her hard work before, during, and after the trial. What people see at the trials is just a small part of what it takes to put on these large trials. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all!! Happy Hunting!!!

BHA has changed the way you can select classes when generating a PDF entry form. If your title hasn't been recorded yet, you cannot select the next class level. For example, if you got your Novice title last weekend and are trying to sign up for Open in the next trial, it won't let you select it. If you want to do that, just write on the entry form the class you are really trying to enter. This was a programming change made by BHA a few months ago.

06/20/2024

Please let me know if this effects you attending either the 12:00 or 2:00 Intro Seminars. We can not start them later due to the Fun Test start time.

06/16/2024

The trials are almost here!! Brenda will be onsite Wednesday and Tuesday will be the last day for her to get the mail. If you haven’t already mailed your entry, it may not get to her in time. Emailing and PayPal is your best option. You may bring it to the site also Wednesday afternoon on. Sooner is better for her to plan.

06/16/2024

Final confirmations and trial letter for the Cambridge trials are being sent out now. The software takes awhile so you sgoyld receive it soon. PLEASE read the WHOLE email. There is VERY important information that you need to know from entering the grounds and parking to times that we start the trial and how the day runs. Can’t wait to see you all that are attending new and seasoned teams!!! Happy Hunting!!

06/14/2024

Anyone doing conformation and barn hunt, please email Brenda, secretary, your ring times/conflicts. She will do her best to try and accommodate you when she does the schedule. We do not post class times before day of. Please use the Remind Me app that we list in our premium to communicate. If we won’t know your situation, we cannot try and help. As I always say “COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!”
For those new, ring one starts with Instinct, 9:00, and then Novice trial 1 followed by Novice trial 2 each day. Novice should start around 9:30 but not an exact time. We don’t know what Day Of Show will be to add to the classes. Please share this to anyone you know that this involves.

06/14/2024

Judging times for Cambridge are out. For those attending the seminars, please let me know asap if you have conflicts and need to switch times or cancel so I can plan accordingly.

The first batch of photos from the April trial are here. There will be more coming this weekend.

All confirmation emails and invoices have been sent. I still have room in the Intro Seminar Sunday at 11:30. Please only pay by the invoice so we can keep track of class vs trial payments.

06/06/2024

We will not be doing a dessert contest at the Cambridge trials. If you want to share simple, non refrigerated, non messy, treats, you are welcome to bring some. It is in a dirt floor building thus my request. 😁 Thank you in advance. It is always appreciated!!!❤️

Just wanting to give a heads up that the Cambridge trials close Tuesday. This means that if you need to pull any runs you may do so and receive a full refund, minus any Paypal fees, if done by then. It also means that you can still enter with the lower cost per run if she receives an online entry that day or before or if postmarked Tuesday or before. You can still enter late and DOS, if not full, but the price per run increases. So don’t delay and get those entries sent!!! Can’t wait to see you all!! Here is the premium for the trials….

Another important announcement!!

We will be having a fun test to help Sarah Bostock fill her requirements to become a judge 4:30 Thursday after the Intro Seminars. Runs will only be $5. It’s not about making money. We love helping out anyone willing to put the work into becoming a great judge. It makes the sport that much better and same with having another judge in Minnesota.

The premium will be posted by Tuesday 28th and will open that day to enter after Brenda gets back from vacation. You do not need a barn hunt registration number to enter fun tests. Any able bodied person that helps set up Wednesday afternoon can receive FREE fun test runs!! Please comment if you are planning to help so I can have a heads up

05/20/2024

I have a 3rd judge for Cambridge!!! Thank you to Liz Hawkins for offering to come. Talking in person is much better than emailing! We are now complete and ready for a weekend of fun.
