First time working on rollbacks with my boys tonight!
We Still got a long way to go but every day is another a little step in the right Direction it's amazing what consistency will do not necessarily how long you work with your horse but how consistently you can work with them makes all the difference!
Teaching our horses to accept the bridal when we put it on and take it off is so important! Something so simple gets overlooked so much
I see a lot of people skipping this step in their training, allowing their horses to throw their head up in the air and fight them while trying to get the bit in....not only does this make our job hard but it also creates bad habits and can put you and your horse at risk for injury.
in this video I share a little bit of my techniques on how I teach all my horses to accept the bridal and bit ! Hope this helps☺️
Working hard everyday isn't always easy but it is always worth it❤️

A rider's seat is one of the most important tools for riding because it's in direct contact with the horse and allows the rider to communicate with the horse without using their reins as much. A good seat allows the rider to slow there horse down or speed them up!
today I really wanted to focus on getting Beamer to break down from the lope off my seat along with stopping and backing up. He Caught on pretty quickly So today was short and sweet it is so important to give your horse a task or set a goal for every ride and build off of that! keeping there job interesting makes all the difference you'll notice your horse becoming more engaged and enjoy learning new things
What is softness in a horse?! and what does it mean to be “soft” or “light” in the bridle? This is an important concept to understand because done correctly it can solve many training issues, create a horse that is more pleasant to ride, and even reduce the chance of injury or lameness.
Softness starts with a willing attitude, a relaxed eye, and a relaxed body. From there we teach the horse to give easily to small amounts of pressure, thus creating the “light” feeling. With a soft horse, we can work on rhythm and suppleness

🔥(Softening On the ground)-This is such an important exercise for horses in general that are resistant Or uniengaged On the lunge line.
Dolly Is a great example For this exercise as she struggles with this specifically Dolly is a very hot/sensitive Type horse That tends to get distracted and react easily. Watch throughout the video how this helps her refocus and soften. hope this is helpful For some of you that might Deal with similar issues Or just want to work on softening.
I find this exercise to be very crucial in my Program Especially for Horses that are stiff And resistant!

today I Wanted to focused on his turn-around And making sure that he is reaching In the front and pivoting on the correct foot. This Maneuver specifically has been difficult for him to master But lately he is really catching on and figuring it out..... I'm not too worried About speed Right now, as I Am really trying to build his confidence And get that smooth transition, Along with Starting to frame him up.
Stay tuned for a video on how I like to introduce the turn around to my young ones!
