Miss Layla will be starting her training journey with us! She is very timid and fear based reactive. We are starting off with confidence building exercises, giving Layla boundaries and having her think through situations rather then being overly reactive.
You will want to see this transformation!

🐾Impulse control!

This is one of many exercises to regain control in overstimulating moments.

Barkley was a 120 escape artist who would throw himself at the gate, pop it open and run! Now, he leaves the fence alone, no more bolting out and has a beautiful recall!

This was a major safety issue that we took pretty seriously. During our 6 weeks I saw first hand how quickly he escaped and how scary it was. But now, with conditioning and training he has less of a desire to escape and rather hang out in the shade!

🐾Callie- she's a beagle/cavalier mix and knows how cute she is! This little girl joined our puppy training program!

So proud of all my clients!
These are a few highlights!

🐾Molly is working hard on impulse control, being more responsive to commands, and over all basic obedience. Our 3rd session and she is doing fantastic!

🐾Millie is finally coming out of her shell and really gaining confidence while mastering her basic obedience commands!

🐾Maui continues to learn social cues from other canines and working on relaxing around others

🐾Barkley continues to impress us with how quickly he has improved! He's no longer dragging his person down the road or escaping his back yard! He's understanding his boundaries and loves learning new commands!

🎆FIREWORK SEASON 🎆

Unfortunately some of our canine friends don't enjoy fireworks, but luckily this is your reminder to ask your vet for medication to help then through!

Family Canine Training LLC also offers an environment enrichment program to help dogs through scary situations like this.

The world is full of loud, scary, overstimulating situations and we are here to help!

We are getting back into the full swing of things!
I am so thankful for all of the clients who have continued to reach out and check on me, it means the world to me.
With that being said, let me give a small update on these beautiful canines!

🐾Sage- She started with me as a wild woman, a ball of excitment but so incredibly smart! She continues to be extremely trainable. Conquering the agility equipment I have, Completing all of her obedience commands and continuing to blow us away with her willingness to learn!

🐾Drake- The sweetest, timid chocolate lab really started to shine after our session. We did a "Quick tip" training session. In the home, with his people he is a perfect guy but he is incredibly scared with others and the owner wasn't able to walk him safely. We addressed a few behaviors leaving owner and Dog more confident.

🐾Barkley- BIG MAN! We have started to really see an improvement in Barkley! He was escaping the yard, running around his neighborhood, unable to be walked by his owner and very overly excited to new situations but he is coming along so well! His owner is now gaining confidence to handle his outburst and she's able to redirect him and continue on their walks!

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for their patience during this unexpected leave. If you know me, you know sitting down and taking it easy isn't my strong suit. I am hoping to start back, lightly, with lessons this upcoming weekend. I won't be able to handle rough, bouncy dogs, but I feel like most of my clients can handle their own dogs during training. My clients with dogs who are seeing me for behavior modification will receive a separate message. Again, I can't thank you all enough for your patience 🙏 ❤️

It was a beautiful day to train!

🐾 Loki was so excited to train after having a full week off! We reviewed all of his commands and practiced greeting new people while keeping his paws on the floor!

🐾Miss Callie was a rock star today! She is so smart and eager to work! She's 6 months old and doing wonderful!

🐾Dilly and Harley worked together today! Dilly is a newly adopted girl who had no manners to start with but now she's our neutral girl helping other dogs! Harley is very anxious/reactive but working really hard while learning new behaviors around others.

I can't say it enough but I'm so proud of my clients and all the work they put into their dogs!

Busy few days!
🐾Opie assisted in training yesterday. He loves training days!

🐾Sage has been working very hard on her leash manners and impulse control. Greeting people is such a pleasure now, all 4 paws are on the ground! She's also walking so much better on leash!

🐾Millie has really come along way! When she started training she was painfully fearful to life but now she's greeting new people, playing with other dogs and really taking in all her commands!

These boys have grown so much! We are still working on confidence building exercises, and staying calm in overwhelming situations but this is a massive improvement! Going from extremely fearful and shutting down to confidently training at our local home depot with all the challenges the store offers is incredible!
My pet parents are truly awesome for putting in the work that's needed for their dogs!

This trio have come such a long way! I'm so proud of the training their owners put into them, and boy have they seen results! We addressed fear biting/reactivity, obsessive barking, 2 of them redirecting on each other and a few other things. Now, the owners have so much more control over them!
