Good Evening All!!!
Wow!!! What a day!!!
Talking to my friend Chuck that lives down state this morning about how to approach this area on the back of my property that the south wind blows straight into…..south wind today…. Thanks to my neighbor Jeff for letting me slip down the pine trees on his property. Got into the back corner of my property and found two pine trees to stand between. Literally standing!! Grasses were about 3 to 4 feet tall in front of the pine tree. I am 31 yards from where my target buck has been crossing my trail cam. Had a four point go through. About 30 minutes later a doe showed up out of nowhere at 17 yards. Got the scope covers open and safety off…started to lift up the crossbow and a buck grunted!!! Scared the crap 💩 out of me!! It was loud!!! Then I seen white antler tips through a pine bow in front of me. Got the crossbow up and he took a couple steps….THWACK!!! 12 yard shot!!!
Watched him hit the edge of the woods about 60 yards and I was pretty sure he crashed…it was silent!!! Came back to the house for about an hour. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to my neighbor Jeff for helping find him and get that big boy out of the woods!!! What a magnificent animal God created right there!!! What a handsome buck!!!
My personal best of 48 years of deer hunting!!!

It was a fur tanning Palooza yesterday!!!
I tanned 4 Beavers 🦫 , 4 Otters 🦦, 1 Coyote and 9 Muskrats!!!
There’s furs everywhere in the shop!!!
