This was by far my biggest challenge this year. This buck was killed in 2015 and sat for 8 years!!!
It was like dehydrated in a running refrigerator!!!
Antlers turned white!!! The hide was like epoxied to the skull!!! Rehydrated it…peeled the hide in 3 sessions. Degreased for almost 4 months!!!
Whitened it, re-colored the antlers!!!
It came out really nice!!!

Got the first two bucks of 2024 in yesterday!! The beetles are enjoying a fresh whitetail skull!!! Appreciate your business Kyle!!!
Memories in Bone and fur here!!! The first time since early October that there isn’t a deer skull in the beetle tank!!! It looks so empty in there to me!!! I got more deer heads hanging to thaw out!!! Gave the Beetles a couple days off with just some chicken and venison scraps to snack on!! Back to work tomorrow!!! #memoriesinboneandfur
