These dogs are natural guardians for sure, but with the right training they are phenomenal! Thank you Angela Hanlon for giving me updates on Bruno! Your training has brought out the very best in him! He not only protects the chickens and cattle but his people too. Their area not only has coyotes, fox and other varmints but I’m told they have mountain lions too so he has a vital role in their operation. Y’all check out how beautiful a dog Bruno is!!😍

Bruno was from a litter born in Spring 2023. We didn’t raise any pups in 2024, but planning a litter for summer 2025 from Bruno’s full sister and Rambo (blk&tan). Get your name on the list now for reservations.

Rambo (front), Tiger, & our matriarch Adrian politely waiting for tummy rubs & a treat! This is what these beggars do every time I go to the field to check the sheep.

Here at Rocky Point Ranch these dogs are our friends…it’s a mutually beneficial relationship. When they are young pups I teach them basic obedience, leading and most importantly I am the alpha in this relationship.

I know there are folks that recommend to not make friends with your LGD’s, but I don’t agree with that philosophy. Our dogs love to see us, but they are solidly bonded to the flock. Having a respectful relationship with our family makes it safe and enjoyable to have them, allows me to care for them (deworm, flea tick treat etc) and when I need to wean lambs I can catch a couple of dogs to lead them to the separate weaning pasture.

You raise enough of these pups eventually one is going to disappoint you. Hulk is not going to work out as a livestock guard. However, Hulk is almost 1 year old, super intelligent and the sweetest with people. Actually prefers people over livestock. I believe he will make a nice family guardian. Sweet deal if you pm me. Currently located in Kentucky.

All stories don’t have happy endings in the livestock business. This was the ewe that Rambo was nurturing. We did our part to save her and her belly full of lambs, but it was not to be. The Lord gives and takes away. We will praise the Lord.

Rambo’s got a tender heart for this sickly ewe. He’s looking to be an awesome Lgd!
Ewe has thiamine deficiency. With B1 injections she’s improving and should recover.

BEAR x ADRIAN had 6 little surprise pups! I had put her up but apparently was too late! I usually only breed once every year or two.

AKC reg. Full time working LGD line from multiple generations. These are super tough dogs that live in the field 24-7 with no shelter. I moved Adrian & puppies into barn stall with some of my kids show lambs for a few weeks since it is so cold.

Taught basic obedience to be kind and respectful to people including kids. When we go to the field all of our adult dogs come to greet us and have been taught to sit or lie down if they want any attention so they all do that immediately. See pics.

ALL SOLD! SOLD! Offering for the 1st time….The best of the best 7 month old AKC Anatolian Male Pups.

In effort to help folks successfully get started with a sheep or goat flock, I selected these pups for our homestead mentorship program to learn from our 5 professional proven adult LGD’s which includes their Sire: Big Bear of Rocky Point Ranch and their Dam: Rocky Point Ranch Yo Adrian.

HULK-BRUTUS-TURK all come from a line of proven LGD’s that have worked into their teens. Adrian and Bear along with 3 other adult LGD’s fearlessly guard our flock of 400 plus hair sheep 24-7 against numerous packs of coyotes, neighbors dogs and even the occasional black bear or mountain lion.

These pups are socialized with adults and children and have been taught basic respect and obedience. They immediately come to us when we come to their pasture and will sit politely to be petted. They know there will be no petting until they sit or lie down. They have also been broke to lead though they are not fond of it and prefer their freedom. They have been exposed to cattle, horses and free range chickens.

Be prepared though. They are not cheap. You get what you pay for. There is a lot of awesome genetics, training and feed invested in developing these boys to this point.
