We save dogs and cats other shelters might euthanize for lack of funds. League City Pets Alive funds most of the non-emergency veterinary care the League City Animal Shelter animals receive. Heartworm treatment/prevention, diagnostic testing, medications, medical supplies, flea prevention, food and formula for fostering fragile puppies and kittens. We accomplish this by being a non profit, having
tireless supporters, and an incredibly generous Facebook community. In 12 years we have forged many partnerships and coalitions. We are Adoption Partners with PetSmart, PETCO, and Pet Supplies Plus, in five stores throughout League City and Clear Lake. We have adoptable cats at these stores and are always looking for additional volunteers. When a dog or cat catch the attention of a person willing to spearhead a fundraiser you will see an article on Facebook and Cuddly.com. They have raised thousands of dollars to treat the animal's condition enabling the dog or cat be adopted and live a long, pain free life.
Happy Day finally arrived for Remi and Reika! They waited a couple weeks in our store and we were not sure why! Sweetest beautiful kitties, but this little boy I think was the reason! During the meet and greet they both calmed down for him to play sweetly with them and his mom just could not say no to him having them both!

Presenting Shelby Girl the Tortie Explorer! A curious nature nudges tortoiseshell Shelby to put on her little bandana and GO! Trips are limited to inside her foster home for safety's sake. Following her latest expedition, she loves to settle in a warm lap to report on her travels and take a little catnap, dreaming about her next walkabout.
The five-year-old plush-coated cat loves to sleep and be close to the person she most adores at day's end. During the day, when not on a 'trip,' or engaged in a catnap, Shelby loves to follow her foster mom through the house and talk, talk, talk! She has moments of playfulness and moments when she wants her belly rubbed!
Shelby is fine with the cat friendly dog at her foster's home (slow introduction please) and while she does not love other cats, she has learned to tolerate her foster mom's.
Shelby came to our group when her elderly guardian passed away. She is much more relaxed in a home environment than in a store condo where most of the organization's cat and kittens are shown. As such, we are looking for a (foster) home- to- home adoption.

There's No Place Like Home!
Today we received a wonderful update from the new family of kittens Lynnie (now Callie), Meg & Chirp. They are settling in very nicely to their new digs, big kitty sister Penny is starting to warm up to them (even doing nose touches with Chirp with no hissing) and the family is completely in love. These are the stories that keep us going!
Calico PATCHES has found her forever home with a young girl, her cousin, and a friendly sister cat. She has a wonderful life ahead of her now.
PSPCL - Kenzi, one of the most affectionate kittens we’ve ever had at PSPCL, was adopted after only 48 hours in the store condo! A few months ago, there was a Facebook post asking for help. A box with three kittens had been left in a parking lot near heavy traffic in Houston. A League City couple who rescues cats went to pick them up. There were just two still in the area. They fostered the pair until they were condo ready with our rescue. Kobi, Kenzi's brother was brought to a pet supply store and adopted in two days as well! Their stories started out sad but ended with happy, fairy tale endings! Have a wonderful ever-after, Kenzi!

We have the namesake of a city in the Panhandle plains right here. Amarillo is a three-month-old, neutered, affectionate lap cat who was found abandoned at the Seabrook waterfront. Kitty Condo Krewe volunteers note that Amarillo first takes time to cuddle with them before jumping into playtime with the other adoptable cats/kittens. He is a pacifist, preferring to yield to the other cats to avoid conflict. That can be a helpful trait if the home has resident cats. One of our volunteers brought her daughters along and you can see Amarillo is quite happy in both their laps! His foster mom noted he has always been an affectionate cat, clearly not feral, and loves mealtime. Friendly lap cat who gets along with other cats? Sounds awfully adoptable. Her physique is long and lean, her green eyes show a hint of blue when the light is right, black 'eyeliner' surrounds both eyes and a lovely calico coat combine to make a truly irresistible beauty. Patches is easy to handle, enjoys a lap, and communicates pleasure with loud purrs and converses with sweet meows. She is fine with other cats but prefers 'not kittens.' This past Saturday, Petco held adoption events at their stores. LCPA showed cats and kittens for adoption at the Kemah and League City Petco stores. Two adult cats, Oliver and Gypsy, were adopted from Petco League City!

Mission Possible: To Get Gypsy Out of Hiding
Three cheers for clicker training! Successful mission documented by a Kitty Condo Krewe volunteer. "Today, on our third session of clicker training, Gypsy left the section of the condo where she hid all day for weeks, greeted me in a section of the condos with no spot to hide and let me lift her out through the back door of the condo! Two brothers and their sister came from Kingwood to adopt Simon! Think Simon might be spoiled by three pairs of hands to pet him and play with him, three laps for him to sit on, and again with the three pair of hands to toss him treats? Oh yeah, they can also take turns scooping the box!
A couple came all the way from Katy to adopt Sammy! It was worth the miles and traffic to see Sammy in person, fall in love, and adopt him! The ride back to Katy was probably punctuated with kitten 'meows' and baby talk!
