JOB OPENING - Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Asssistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals while assisting the veterinarian in various clinical procedures. Expertise in animal handling, veterinary terminology, and animal anatomy will be crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:
-Assist veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
-Perform routine labratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
-Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
-Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care.
-Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
-Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
-Handle animals safely and compassionately during examinations and treatments.

Qualifications:
-Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
-Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
-Proven experience in pet care, animal handling, or veterinary settings.
-Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
-Labratory procedures and kennel management.
-A genuine love for animals and a committment to their welfare.
-Skills in dog training or pet grooming are beneficial, but not required.

Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $17.73 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Lost dog located in Vanleer and brought in by a client. Looks to be an intact female with an older seresto collar. No microchip!

She is super sweet and seemed to be out chasing deer. We think she got too far from home 😢.

Posts like this are the hardest to get started. I want to thank all of our clients for sharing their pets and families with me the last 12 years. For you to have trusted me with the role of your family veterinarian has been one of my greatest honors.

We made the decision to sell the practice to Dr. Cynthia Miller and are working to make this a seamless transition going forward. I'm leaving behind the best team I've had in 12 years, and I am incredibly confident that Ellison, Maci, and Lisa will be able to help Dr. Miller continue to provide the level of care you are all are accustomed to and deserve.

Royce and I are excited to spend time traveling across the US with our own animals. I cannot wait to share pictures of our National Parks bucket list items and adventures. We love McEwen and it will still be home. However, we are excited for this new chapter in our lives.

ELLISON - VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Ellison has recently stepped up to a Veterinary Assistant position at the clinic. She is excited about her new role, while still being a friendly voice on the phone. She enjoys spending her free time with her boyfriend, Bailey, and her two cats, Crouton and Hoagie. She has recently added a new kitten named Squid to her family as well! Ellison is excited to continue serving the animal community here locally!
