‘Sup? Charlie here. 😎 The coolest and cutest dude around (though I suppose I am a little biased).

I’m only 7, which is still pretty young. I am an upbeat and playful guy. I like to chase tennis balls, chew on antlers and Benebones, and tear up soft squeaky toys. I am a big lover of people and can be very affectionate. I am not very adventurous. I like routine, predictability, and stability, which makes me a bit of a homebody. I don’t yearn to explore a new park every weekend, or even venture too far from home. Ideally, I spend my days and nights with my family, in my own home/yard, chewing on an antler while our shows play or having a round of fetch in the backyard. Call me anti-social, but I call it keeping my circle small.

Some dogs want the world; I simply want one, tiny piece of it that feels like it is made just for me. Would you want to be the one(s) I consider my world? 🥺

Hi, I'm Lulu! 💕 I'm 14-years-old, and I am officially ready for adoption!

I am a very sweet, very shy little girl who came to Young at Heart after my guardian was no longer able to care for me. I am a self-proclaimed "Nervous Nelly." I am wary of new people and new animals. I will eventually warm up, you just gotta give me a bit of time and patience. Once I do warm up, I easily approach my trusted people and would enjoy getting lots of snuggles.

I do best with small dogs around my size, and I would probably be okay with a kitty too, since they're not much bigger than me. My ideal forever home would be relaxed and quiet to offer me as much security as possible, so an adult-only home for me, please. I am very food-and-treat motivated, which can help you with potty/piddle-pad training. Just watch those fingers!

I may have been well-loved in my past, but I wasn't necessarily well-cared for. In my golden years, I am hoping to have an easy life - one where I can be surrounded by and cared for by people who love me dearly and will do whatever is necessary to make sure I'm comfy, healthy, and happy. 🥰

9-year-old Kaia is coming out of her shell, and she is just the sweetest girl!

We rescued Kaia from local animal control just last week, after she had been confiscated from an animal hoarding situation. She was shy as can be. We expected nothing less, being in a brand new place with brand new people. But she has been coming around quicker than expected. Soon enough, the tail that she usually kept tucked in started to uncurl. Her ears started to point high up instead of being drawn back, and instead of hiding in the furthest corner when staff replaced food bowls and cleaned her box, she is now approaching them for attention. And that cute little tongue has started poking out! 😛

Kaia saw our in-house vet for her intake exam and diagnostics last week. Despite the expected dental disease, she seems to be in great health. Our medical team will get her on the schedule for a dental cleaning, and our care staff will continue to give her the pets and chin scratches she has been asking for. Soon, she will be ready to find her forever home.

Hi, I'm Rosie! 🌹

I am 10-years-old. I am a unique beauty who LOVES people. I am so incredibly sweet and affectionate. I enjoy a good snuggle with my human friends, napping in the sunshine or high up on my cat tree, and lots of play time.

Not to toot my own horn, but I am also an expert "biscuit"-maker. These cute, little paws can knead and knead and knead like there's no tomorrow. Proof that I'm not just a pretty face!

With a patient introduction, I do well with other chill kitties. I wouldn't mind being in a home where I am the only cat, either, though. I haven't properly met a dog before, so you'll have to ask for a "dog test" if you have one at home and are thinking of meeting me.

I am one of the senior kitties with the longest residencies here at the adoption center, and at this point, I'm not sure why I'm still here. Maybe you're the one who will give me the chance to prove how purrfect I am? 😻

Cheesin' with adoptable 11-year-old Snickers 😁

Snickers is the embodiment of Young at Heart. This older gal has a lust for life and an affinity for all people she meets. She is excited about basically everything: waking up, eating, ripping up toys, killing squeakers, eating, going for walks, hanging out with the humans, eating. She loves it ALL!

And she would love to have a forever home to spend the rest of her life in. Snickers deserves a family who adores her the same way she adores the little things in life. ❤️
