What a weekend at Prairie State Classic Horse Show! We brought 13 horses and everyone had great rides and learned a lot! We are so proud of our horses and riders! Onto the next one!

What an awesome night we had with our WTC riders last night at the UPHA Ch 10 Horse Show! Can’t wait to see what our WT have to show off today!

The Woodwind Farm Showstoppers Group had a fun and educational meeting this past Saturday.

Farrier Luke Pflanz gave a great presentation and demonstration on what a Farrier does and how he helps our horses.

We really appreciate the time that Luke spent with us and had a lot of fun!

This was then followed by our Woodwind Farm Show Team doing an "Academy Demonstration Ride" for our riders preparing for our upcoming Barn Show!

There were lots of new things to be learned and lots of great questions asked!

🐴 The Rider's Neutral Pelvis Position

This drawing shows three different possible positions of the dressage rider's pelvis. The imaginary bucket of water in your pelvis should help you to see the effects of the different angles of the rider's pelvis. You can see how the change of the angle of the pelvis shifts the rider's center of gravity, and therefore tips the bucket.
