unsets. She volunteers at the McHenry County Conservation Resource Wildlife Center. Her other hobbies include: camping, hiking, birding, and most anything outdoors. She's the grounds keeper of her own personal zoo, and is a proud, single-mother hen to three beautiful chicks. A search is underway this weekend for a man who has been missing for six weeks and police say he is not familiar with the Chicago area.
Chicago police say 34-year-old Ariel Childress has been missing since June 15 and may be confused.

👵May is , a month dedicated to celebrating and acknowledging the contributions made to our society by those who have the wisdom that comes with age.

🚴‍♀️May is ALSO , a month dedicated to celebrating a form of travel and exercise with low environmental impact and helps keeps us healthy.

The District has partnered with Cycling Without Age McHenry County to bring rides to seniors! Each ride is 30-minutes, or you can take two consecutive 30-minute rides. Rides are led by trained volunteers on their comfortable, open-air trishaws. All rides are free of charge but pre-registration is required. Each ride can accommodate one or two people, and the elder can be accompanied by a non-senior companion if they desire (one passenger must be 55+).

Rides will be taking place May 7th and May 14th.

Coyote
I may look like a big bad wolf, but I want to be the prince charming in your fairytale. I'm actually quite shy, cunning, and very adaptable, which is why you might see me in your neighborhood. I am the top predator in the area, but that doesn't mean I'm a threat to you. I help keep populations of rodents, small mammals, geese, & deer in check and also scavenge for dead animals to keep our neighborhood clean.
Interests: Recycling; Nightlife; Long Walks; Singing.

After a couple years of not being able to be involved in my favorite photography exhibit and being a part of the core team .I pushed myself to submit this month to the famous and amazing 4th Fridays Art Event ..Juried Photography Exhibit. I was so excited to have two of my pieces accepted into the exhibit. Starting Friday, I will share the full exhibit for all to view and see all the other accepted submissions as well. At that time, you will have the opportunity to vote for the people's choice award that you feel is most deserving to your liking. This has been a goal of mine for awhile now so I am extremely proud of myself and excited to be a part of this rewarding and blissful event! Stay tuned. 📸❤️

One of the most beautiful owls
We are so blessed to have them come down to visit from the Tundra.

Fun Facts:
~ Unlike most owls, they are active during the day (diurnal)

~ They are the heaviest owl in North America

~ Their feet are covered with feathers, like slippers..to provide ample insulation for the Arctic Tundra

Probably my favorite subject but definitely the subject I put most effort into.
Short eared owl

Fun facts:
~They are one of only two owl species living on the Hawaiian Island
~They are one of the few owls that nest on the ground
~They begin calling inside the egg
~They travel great distances with migrations of 1200 miles documented

Providing Local Art in McHenry County in the form of Framed Photos of many sizes and through a very unique medium called Encaustic Wax Art. All Art created from local areas.

Sheryl’s work has been accepted and displayed in numerous contests and exhibits. She holds many awards and acknowledgements, including Best of Show and Peoples Choice Awards. Her work has been published and used as a cover photo in Boone County Journal, The Weekender and The Northwest Herald. Tom Skilling of WGN News has used her photos several times on his weather reports on TV and one of her photos was used on Rte. 53 on a 50 ft. LED sign to promote a Chicago area event.

Always helping our environment by using recylced frames, recycled art board and other various recycled pieces to create all work.
