Sweet, gentle Xander is a little self concious because of his bad eye. We aren'tsure if he was born this way or if something happened to his eye at some point before he came to us. Who is the new guy posing for ?

Sweet guy, Bernie, has arrived at the BYC Dog center. At 4 years-old, Bernie is adjusting to a good routine. It does take him awhile to settle into new surroundings so we hope that he can find a patient home who has the time to spend with him while he gets acclimated. Bernie loves other animals, but he's 80 lbs. so his future home will need lots of space for Bernie to get comfortable.

If you have been back in our FeLV+ suite lately, you may have met Lucy and Darcy. Well these sweet sisters are finally ready to be adopted and they are really hoping to find a forever home for the holidays. Because of their FeLV+ status, they should be the only cats in the house or with other FeLV+ cats. Although they don't have to be adopted as a pair, it sure would be great if they were.

Through the program, many shelter dogs have received professional training that helped transform them into confident, adoptable companions. Just as importantly, new dog owners have gained the tools, guidance, and education they need to thrive alongside their pets.

Belinda may still be waiting for her perfect home, but her impact is immeasurable. Because of her, countless dogs have been given second chances, stronger starts, and brighter futures. And that is a legacy worth celebrating!

Belinda is still searching for her PAWfect match but that doesn't mean she hasn't paved the way for other dogs to learn too! Our partnership with Scholars in Collars Academy has allowed for dozens of dogs to receive the training needed prior to adoption.

The program and our partnership are very important to Belinda! We know that if she could tell us what she wants for her birthday, it would be the funding to continue. And a fun-filled birthday bash with her favorite trainers, of course!

Flora has a lot to be thankful for this year! Since arriving at BYC, this young Hound mix has shown us that TLC and rehabilitation can go a long way in the rescue world. At almost 4 months-old, Flora is gaining strength and living up to her full potential.

Although she was dealt a difficult hand (no pun intended), she has shown us that BIG things come in small packages. While we don't know much about Flora's parents, she is a mixed breed dog who will likely remain under 30 lbs. She is currently living in foster care with other dogs and cats. Flora is a great little leash walker but prefers to snuggle in your lap!
