Miss Patches is an 11-year-old, Cocker Spaniel. She has lived a long, spoiled life but unfortunately her previous owner fell ill. Patches was grateful to find refuge in a foster home with BYC.

Patches does well with other dogs but is a very independent lady. Like any good senior dog, she prefers to snuggle up in her own space. You may remember miss Elmo coming to BYC a few months ago as a smaller pup! When her new dad had suffered some unexpected health issues, Elmo was relieved that BYC was there to bring her back and start her adoption journey again!

No matter what life brings for this 6-month-old, Collie/Shepherd mix. BYC will be there to support her and find her the best family. Elmo is currently living in a foster home that provides her with exercise and mental stimulation every day. Since her adult weight is near 60 lbs., she will benefit from an active family that continues to train with her daily.

Nigel is a soft Shepherd mix. At just 5 months-old, this intelligent dog is showing so much potential! Nigel is kind to other animals and children. He is expected to grow to be around 75 lbs. and has some big paws to prove it.

Currently, Nigel is in foster care preparing for adoption. He is getting use to a good schedule and slowly becoming crate trained. He would do best with an active and patient owner, who is able to provide him with tons of exercise and mental stimulation.

Bear is a 6-year-old, Lab/Shepherd mix. He weighs 55 lbs. and is absolutely a dream walking partner! Bear is polite and minds his manners when it comes to other dogs. We don't think this older gentleman would participate in any rough housing, but he is a very tolerant and sweet boy.

Bear is spending time in foster care. He has some experience with cats and children. We think he is going to make a loving family very lucky! He is the complete package with a handful of experience.

Belinda has opened the door for countless dogs to find lifelong homes with educated, committed owners. While she hasn't been adopted yet, Belinda is not missing out on a family. Most dogs would be lucky to get the love and support that surrounds her every day!

Even though she hasn't received one inquiry for her adoption, Cali is still smiling ear to ear! That just shows you how kind and optimistic this Beagle/Poodle mix really is. At 3 years-old, Cali is gaining lots of training and guidance at our adoption center.

After losing her previous owner, Cali remained hopeful. She has always lived a spoiled life so she hopes that can continue after her adoption journey ends. She would do best in an active home, but she typically plays well with other dogs! Especially ones who match her excitement. Cali will remain between 15-20 lbs, the perfect pocket-sized companion!

Our adoption centers will be closed tomorrow for the Thanksgiving holiday. Applications are required to schedule visits with our shelter dogs! Visit www.becauseyoucare.org/pet to browse and apply!
