🌀 How to NOT annoy the judge:
Your passes shouldn’t make the judge flinch like we’re front row at SeaWorld. 🐬
Let us live. Let us judge.

‼️Also:
When you’re practically on top of the judge, we can’t even see your horse.
All we catch is a blur, a hoof, and a near-death flashback.

💡Circling the judge’s stand like you’re trying to get extra credit?
It just makes you look disorganized and underprepared—not polished and professional.

📌Pro Tip:
✅ Maintain a respectful distance from the judge
✅ Use your turns to set up a confident, composed pass
✅ Show your horse, not your mildly homicidal show ring energy

✨We remember brilliance!
We also remember close calls—and not in a good way.

Pin Oak was wonderful! There were so many pics to choose from but here’s a small snapshot of our week!

Some fun new combos, catch rides, performance debuts, and first time blues on their horse this week! As always, the best part was being together!

Thank you to the show board for putting on such a nice horseshow!

Pro-Am next week and Big D in a couple weeks- we are busy busy!

lol!

How To NOT Annoy The Judge!

Stop staring like we owe you money 👀💸

There’s confidence… and then there’s “you're hoping to telepathically secure the blue ribbon!”
Let me be clear, you’ve annoyed the judge if you’ve locked eyes with us mid-pass and stared us down like you’re trying to Jedi-mind-trick us into a ribbon 🧠✨

This tactic is giving:
•An ex who wants closure 😬
•Someone who’s been ghosted 👻
•The buffet thief who took the last roll 🥖
•And yes… like we owe you money and you're here to collect 💵

💡Friendly reminder:
We’re judging your horse… not your soul.

📌
Pro Tip:
•Glance and go. Trust your horse and your ringmanship skills.
•Make your pass with poise, not paranoia ➡️
•Eyes forward. Confidence is key. Let your horse be the star.⭐️

How This Started

Both Jordan and Maggie have been riding horses together and been friends since high school.

Maggie’s primary background is in the hunter/jumper world. She grew up showing in the North Texas circuit in the hunter, equitation, and high children’s jumper divisions under the direction of Ashley Schaefer. She was a working student and taught lessons all through high school. In college summers, she ran and managed a barn at a dude ranch in Colorado. (She was the first female to do so at that ranch by the way.) During the academic year in college, Maggie was the manager for the Texas A&M Equestrian Team. After college, Maggie spent a year doing missions around the world. Maggie has spent the past two years with Shenanigans helping us transition into the competitive ASB Hunter Division. Maggie excels at conditioning horses and riders. She’s known as the toughest and most detail orientated trainer! Every lesson you take with her is worth your while!

Jordan’s primary background is in the Saddleseat world. She grew up showing in the Texas circuit, under the direction of Nicole Foster and Stephanie Mckinsey, showing primarily in pleasure Equitation or any catch ride she could find! She also was a working student and taught lessons al through high school. She also helped to run summer camps. In college, Jordan interned at Still Creek Ranch where she learned more about how to ride and teach hunters and western lessons. She has spent the past 3 years transitioning back into the ASB Show World post-college. She got her first Saddlebred Sultan’s Sunrise on Five “Moose” to show in hunter and jumpers. Although she has a ton of fun jumping, Jordan’s first love is equitation and she will develop a strong leg and strong core where you ride independently of your hands! She truly believes equitation is the art of riding and makes you a more effective rider in every discipline.

Although most of the Shenanigan Crew is made of Saddlebreds, we are open to every breed and every discipline!
