📣 Our Red Smoke Maine C**n Kitten Turns 7 Weeks Old Today! 🎉 He stays in the cattery .

Fun fact about this little guy: he was a singleton, born to our stunning Russian import, Fiona. Despite her size, Fiona didn’t have enough milk, so he was lovingly adopted by Esenia, our blue Maine C**n female from Russia. 🌸

This kitten has been ahead of the game right from the start! He opened his eyes just 3 days after birth (the average is 7-14 days), started walking at 3 days old, and was already exploring outside his nest by the end of the first week. He may be younger than Esenia’s babies by a week and a half, but he’s already larger than most of them! 📏✨

Many of you may remember Enzo, our former stud imported from Europe, who we had high hopes for as a new addition to our breeding program. However, during our routine health screening, Enzo was diagnosed with a heart problem that unfortunately meant he couldn’t be part of our program. As ethical breeders, the health of our cats always comes first, so we made the decision to neuter Enzo and find him the perfect home.

Thankfully, a wonderful family who had already purchased a Maine C**n from us stepped forward, and Enzo became the perfect addition to their household. Today, Enzo is living a spoiled, pampered life, surrounded by love and care. We couldn’t be happier to see him thriving in his forever home.

We are committed to breeding ethically and ensuring all of our cats receive the best care possible. While Enzo didn’t work out as a stud, he’s found a family that absolutely adores him, and that’s what matters most!

Today , I had a potential buyer reach out to me, upset about the prices for our Maine C***s, saying they found a breeder offering kittens for $500. Before I had a chance to explain the red flags and warn her, she blocked me. Sadly, she’s likely dealing with a scammer, not even a backyard breeder.

Here’s what you need to know to protect yourself:

1. Professional Breeders like Sweet Giants invest in the health and care of our cats, including importing high-quality breeding cats from Europe , vet care, and comprehensive health screenings. This is why our prices reflect the true cost of raising healthy and well-bred Maine C***s.
2. Backyard Breeders often cut corners on vet care and health testing. Their prices might seem like a bargain but come with risks—these kittens often aren’t bred to the same standards of care.
3. Scammers are the most dangerous. If you see a “purebred” Maine C**n kitten for $500, it’s likely a scam. Scammers lure buyers with low prices and vanish after taking your money. There’s no way you can get a healthy, responsibly bred Maine C**n for that price.

Please, be cautious and do your research. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Scammers prey on people looking for affordable options, and the result is heartbreak, not the kitten you hoped for.

Investing in a Maine C**n from a reputable breeder means you’re supporting the ethical treatment and health of the breed. You get what you pay for when it comes to quality, and unfortunately, the cheaper options usually mean cutting corners or, worse, being scammed.

She is very healthy, fully vetted, and has all of her shots. She is a big cat, and she will keep growing until the age of 5. She is super affectionate, she loves to cuddle, loves kids and she will make the perfect companion for any family. She is a lap cat, and she is like a dog in the cat world.
