This is exactly one of the reason why we don’t allow visitors inside our home. The safety of our family and cats is our top priority, and we do everything to protect them. We have security measures in place, and we require an application and deposit to reserve a kitten.
Recently, a lady refused to comply with our process . We kindly informed her that we were not the right cattery for her.
Our protocols are in place for good reason. Safety and integrity are non-negotiable for us. Please understand that these measures protect both our animals and our family.
According to the news , the breeder, Paul Peavey, tragically lost his life after being reported missing. His body was discovered by concerned neighbors and friends. In addition to his murder, 12 of his puppies were stolen, along with anything of value from his home. Paul Peavey was a well-known breeder of Doberman dogs and was known for his kind nature. The post emphasizes the importance of security for breeders and mentions that a suspect is already in custody. The heartbreaking incident serves as a cautionary tale for breeders, highlighting the dangers of allowing visitors into their homes.

Nova is growing so much—she was 5 weeks old on Monday! There’s something so special about white cats, isn’t there? I’ve always had a soft spot for them because I grew up with a white cat back in Italy. We lived in a small beach town where street cats were as common as wild rabbits are here in Texas. Everyone would feed them, and we ended up with a large colony of white cats in our area. One mom even delivered six white kittens, and that’s when I found Eros, my white boy.
Eros was incredibly skittish at first, but with patience and love, he became my best friend. He was always by my side until I went to college. Sadly, while I was away, he got lost, and we were never able to find him. That experience gave me a deep passion for white cats. It’s one of the reasons I’ve always dreamed of having a white line in my breeding program—to honor the beautiful memories I have of Eros.

Warning to All Breeders and Potential Cat Adopters: Be Cautious When Importing Maine C***s
As many of you know, about a month ago, we imported a stunning ns22 male from a Polish breeder. Importing cats, especially Maine C***s, can be challenging and involves considerable risks, but breeders take on this responsibility to bring in new lines. Unfortunately, this process doesn’t always go smoothly. Sometimes, despite spending thousands of dollars on a prospective king or queen, they end up unsuitable for breeding.
It’s often thought that only regular people looking to adopt a Maine C**n get scammed, but sometimes even us breeders fall victim to dishonest practices. Our new stud was recently diagnosed with a severe heart condition, and I’m heartbroken. We were already so attached to him—his personality was fantastic, and we adored his color. Sadly, the vet informed us that this condition is congenital and so severe that it would have been obvious even by simply listening to his heart, a fact confirmed by a cardiologist. The breeder, Galina from Moonrisecoon, had to have known.
But that’s not the only issue. Another kitten we imported from her, Libby, was supposed to be shaded ns11, but after careful examination, we found out she’s actually ns22. Shaded cats are significantly more expensive, and we paid a premium for what we thought was a shaded kitten, only to find out she wasn’t. On top of that, Galina sells kittens with genetic problems that she is fully aware of.
As a breeder, I understand that even from two healthy cats, you can occasionally have an unhealthy kitten—nothing is guaranteed. But as an ethical breeder, if you are aware of an issue, you must disclose everything to the buyer. Selling a cat with known health problems, especially with breeding rights, is simply unacceptable.
I’m not typically the type to bring breeder issues to the public, as I prefer to handle things directly. However, we’ve attempted to resolve the situation with Galina. She sold us a sick stud that is unfit for breeding and a cat that isn’t even shaded, amounting to a significant financial loss for us. After confronting her, she blocked us, leaving us with no resolution. We’ve now lost over $11,000 and have no shaded line to show for it. Further research and conversations with other breeders revealed that many others have also been scammed by Galina.
This post is intended to warn other breeders—DO NOT IMPORT FROM GALINA MOONRISECOON. She is dishonest and seems to be selling ns22 cats under shaded prices. Don’t make the same mistake we did.
Blade, our male, will go live with a lovely client of ours, Diana, and we’re very grateful to her for opening her home to this sweet boy. The cardiologist said that even with his heart problems , he can live a long life as a pet .
Libby will remain in our program, and we hope to find her a true shaded boy one day.

PS: Galina has accused us of falsifying medical information simply because we initially referred to Blade by his current name rather than his original name, Enzo, and listed an approximate date instead of his exact birthdate. However, after providing Blade’s pedigree to the cardiologist, all the information has been verified and updated, and we’ve shared it with Galina. It’s important to note that in the USA, falsifying medical records is nearly impossible. We even provided her with the contact information of our cardiologist for verification. Additionally, Galina had already been informed weeks prior that Blade had a heart murmur, which our vet detected immediately after his arrival from Europe. Please disregard her comments on this post.

We are thrilled to announce that as of Monday, we have been officially licensed by the State of Texas, following our latest inspection which we passed with flying colors!
This achievement is not just about compliance; it’s a testament to the health and happiness of our cats and our commitment to ethical breeding practices. Alongside our ongoing registration with TICA, this state license further establishes us as a trustworthy cattery.
We are dedicated to transparency and excellence in all that we do, which is why this license information will be available in our contracts and on our website, as it is public information.
