Cleo had been sick last week and was nervous about coming in today. So I gave her a playpen and let her decompress before we started. It did the trick and she was perfect as usual! 💚

Pepper was supposed to have a fox-like face. It was all there and perfect and then she moved as I snipped the shears. I’m so sad 😭 she is still cute but she doesn’t look like Pepper.

Cooper was a perfect emotional support dog for big bro Tucker today. Tuck had a great groom with hardly any crying. They were so sweet and brought us breakfast like they always do. So when we learned their appointment was actually for tomorrow I just picked up speed and worked them in so she doesn’t have to round them up again tomorrow. And now I might get to sleep in if no one takes my morning appointments for tomorrow!! 💚🛏️

Ezra is the best chow mix ever. He was in a mood for his front legs and feet today. He accidentally head butted me and I cried out. When he heard me he cowered a little as an apology and was still for a minute before turning back into a bucking bronco. So he kennel dried.

Jersey and Bella look so similar! She wasn’t to into having a puppy boy in her face so Jersey went back to greet Otis again and get over being snubbed by the beautiful old lady.

Jersey got to meet the giant doodle Otis a few times throughout the day. He was so brave with a big dog sniffing him all over!

I had just vacuumed and asked Harper if she was ready for her groom. She jumped up on the table while my lead stayed hanging from the bar. I asked Scout to lay down in place and she immediately took her toy over and got comfortable. I just adore dogs that love to please you. Which is most of them.

Harper had a good groom especially after getting some energy out before hand. Scout took to place well and chewed some of Bil’s old balls while I did Harper. They followed me around while I cleaned after another gale of fetch. Scout likes tennis balls and a lacrosse training ball. Harper prefers squeaky giant spikey balls that were Bil’s person favorite. They knew drop it so well!!

In a normal grooming environment they are difficult to handle with lunging tendencies and tons of loud barking. But it’s all a fear response. They are so amazing one on one. If it was worth the price increase to everyone I would only groom 5 a day and do everyone alone in 2 hours!

I let the girls run free since we were alone. We had played fetch and chased each other around for a bit before grooming. It was nice to play with dogs. I asked who wanted to go first and Scout jumped up. Harper roamed all over and intensely sniffed everything she could reach.

Cooper enjoyed taking a break on my table after we got the Airedale girls quiet and together again. He makes me lift him all over and hates to stand but I don’t hold it against him, I’m lazy too!

Dempsey had a great day of wandering around the spa and bothering all the other dogs. He is an intense sniffer and the others didn’t seem to realize he was old and they kept treating him like a regular dog and I had to get on to them. He didn’t have a clue and was more than happy to go sniff the next butt.

Finley and Buster enjoyed the day of freedom. It kept them fairly quiet except when Dempsey was doing something Fin didn’t approve of and he had to tell about it.

Roxy and Pebbles had a great day of running around and soaking in all the smells. Roxy was on Pebbles butt duty keeping Dempsey from getting too in there. She took the job seriously even though Pebbles never noticed.

Maggie had a good time in the hammock, it sure beats fighting and biting for her nails and clean feet! She enjoyed being free to watch all the chaos of the free dogs around her.
