Lollie! She is such a sweet girl. I've only been grooming her a short while, comparatively, and I've grown so fond of her calm and sure demeanor
I've been using a new trick I discovered while grooming that has been making my life, and the puppies lives so much better. If I've seen you recently, I'm sure you've listened to me rable on about it - but do me a favor and keep it under wraps for now!
I'll be sharing that information and more this year as education for pet parents and pet groomers is a top goal of mine.

Great shot of my little Missy. She turns a year old tomorrow! She has been making leaps in her social and grooming journey - it is so fun to be a part of!

It is also a stark reminder that time moves fast. There will be a time in the near future I will be grooming dogs that never stepped foot in the original OG shop we built up or never even knew it existed. That's both inspiring and nostalgically sad.

I am back on the road after some time off, excited to embark on a new year of adventures with my two and four... and sometimes three-legged friends.

Sadie is an excellent reminder of the idea that good big things happen when you take good care of the little things.

Looking back to post these shots, I expected to feel the same way I felt when grooming Sadie. I was disappointed in myself that I wasn't doing good enough work. I work too slowly. There are groomers that are much better than me in much less time.

Now that I am posting them, I feel so proud of the work Sadie and I did together. I think she looks so cute, and I know she feels amazing by the bouncing around she did when we got back inside the house.

If you find yourself feeling that same way, I hope you remember things like this and tell yourself it's going to be okay, and you will get through it. Maybe even do some great work along the way while you try your best. At least we can all hope to anyway.

Has anyone else ever seen a double rainbow?

I felt very lucky to grab this shot, just like I feel very lucky to be announcing to you all that Odom Grooming has officially landed on our feet. Or rather on our wheels.

Our deluxe mobile grooming services are operational and awesome! Featuring our newly converted all-electric grooming salon-on-wheels. Our aim is to bring the highest skill level of grooming, the most comforting and assuring experience, and the most convenient process to everyone we are able to.

Speaking of everyone...it is no secret among all my good friends (you all) that getting on my schedule has always been hard. Unfortunately, that is the case even more with the limited volume the mobile salon can handle. My capacity to take on new or returning puppies is extremely limited and will be accepted on a case by case basis. I apologize in advance.

We are looking to remedy this situation by adding more vehicles to our fleet! There are ample opportunities to help us achieve our dreams and goals by working together and growing this special community.

Lastly, I will touch on the subject of a new brick and mortar shop. I swung as hard as I could at that ultimate goal and fell short by just inches. I will continue to pray and seek council on this subject. For now, we are focused on our mobile grooming salon and growing our numbers so that we can get more of our friends experiencing this fantastic service.

My new friend Archie is show stopping with these sweet eyes!

We became fast friends in our first interactions together and only built up from there. Archie is 2 years old and had a wonderful temperament.

We ended up going with a 5/8 guard for the body, a slightly longer front legs, and a full 1 inch guard for the top of his extra cute fusion teddybear head.

ODOM GROOMING IS MOVING As of today, 4/22/2024, we are no longer operating in the same space we previously were in and are temporarily closed to facilitate our move to a bigger, more welcoming space. This will be a great challenge that tests us, but ultimately, I believe we will come out a stronger and more robust company. I understand this will cause some disruption in your normal grooming services, and I am truly sorry for that. If there are any grooming emergencies, please feel free to reach out, and maybe we can set up a house call. I am also open to ideas for temporary spaces or options to get some puppy dogs groomed.
