This! Is a happy JRT! A lot of work that is simple when you understand what your specific dog (not the I would love to show you a completely different way to communicate with your dog. ) needs. I have a couple of really good post that I need to get to, but in the meantime, here’s a picture of my little dude who Ochi is not happy about this weather at all. He’s not scared of rain and storms but he knows that it affects our activities because he’s a full on machine! I do as much as I can with him on these days but nothing beats a great pack walk. 🤦‍♂️ Hope you’re all safe and dry. 🫣🙏

Hello all of you wonderful dog lovers. Thanks for following me. I appreciate you. So the other day I got to meet these two wonderful dogs and when I first walked in the white one, the female she was a bit standoffish wasn’t sure about me, which was normal for her, when it comes to guest coming into the home that she doesn’t know. The male that is laying down all goofy looking. 🤪 They said he was really bad at pulling on the leash and highly reactive to dogs while they were out on walks. It only took me a few minutes if even that and he was walking beautifully we even got to walk him down the sidewalk that went right next to a rod iron fence with two highly reactive dogs behind the fence and he did great. His owners were shocked. 😉 It was a great session.

Hello all you wonderful dog lovers. Thanks for following me. I appreciate you. So the other day I got to meet this handsome boy he is the brother of the owners brothers brother. They take them both to their work and the problem was they started fighting. I posted about this with the brother last week. They have some work to do and then I will be meeting up with them in about 30 days to make sure we can bring these two back together happily.

Well, so I’m stuck at home today because of this weather so I thought I would just post a couple of cute pictures of my boy Ochi being his calm, happy self. And I also thought though most of you know, I would explain what it is that I do and why rainy days like this keep me from doing what I’m doing, I do manners and Dog behavior modification. Behavior modification is something very different from doing like obedience training and rain changes perception. And because I’m dealing with so many different behaviors everything from out of control, destructive, different forms of aggression, and so on. I have to do those in the home in real life situations. Someone sending their dog away for some obedience training, that’s OK. But when someone is trying to convince you to send your dog away, that’s having behavior issues that’s not OK because that is not real life for the dogs or for the humans. So AnyWho, if you know someone that may be having some behavior or manner problems with their dogs by all means, please share my information with them. theeducateddog.com

So this was a client I worked with several days ago (she was actually a client that I had worked with some 17 years ago) and this first little guy in the picture who looks like he’s angry in the picture just cracks me up. 😆 He actually wasn’t supposed to be a part of the session, but I went ahead and added him to it. Her original dog is the large Labradoodle. The reason that she called me in was the new dog, the smaller golden doodle who should only had for a few days was attacking her labradoodle. I appreciate you so the other day I got to meet this sweet boy whose owner is concerned that he may have been showing aggression towards their 17 month old son. It turns out he wasn’t. He actually loves their son. They just had a couple of awkward situations that caused him to react. Every dog will act differently to uncomfortable situations. But not one time did he hurt their son. The session went great. And let me just say you can’t just teach dogs how to behave around children. You have to teach children how to behave around dogs. And I and great full that they invited me to help them understand what was happening. #theeducateddog #dogtraing #dogtraingtips #dogs

Hello all of you wonderful dog lovers thanks for following me. I appreciate you so I’m finally getting around to posting about this sweet girl who the owners had rescued just a few weeks back. She is the second client in a row that was a rescue that had a lot of fear. While she had warmed up to the wife, she had not done the same with the husband. She would come over to him if he was sitting down, or if he was laying on the sofa but the moment he stood up, she was gone! And if they had guest over, she would avoid them at all cost. Her owners were very shocked, surprised, and happy that close to the end of the session I could walk over to her and pet her without her running away and so could her husband. I’m so glad that I was able to help. #theeducateddog

Hello all of you wonderful dog lovers. Thanks for following me. I appreciate you. So the other day I got to meet these two sisters. My client rescued them from a shelter on the day that they were scheduled to be euthanized. The shelter got them because someone decided to dump them at a dog park, and their problem was they had extreme fear with a tiny bit of aggression. He actually had a friend staying with him that was afraid they were going to bite him. I am so glad my client saved them and happy he let me help them. #theeducateddog

We couldn’t even talk for the first 10 minutes after I walked in. And the other problem was the husband works from home and to the right side of his office was a huge window that face the front door. You should have seen what that window looked like. 😳 And I think the husband was just done! But…this was a very smart boy. And when they saw how fast he got what I was doing. They loved it. #theeducateddog
