Jimmy does have shoes on all the way around and is said to be traffic safe. He does have some soft swelling in his back left hock. Jimmy was given some anti inflammatories at the lot today. Personally, I like Cupcake better, so we are going to call her Cupcake. Cupcake is a beautiful bay Standardbred mare. She is approximately 17 years old and stands 15.1HH. Cupcake is broke to ride and drive. She does need a refresher course on her riding. Cupcake showed no bad habits during evaluation today but has probably been driven more than she has been ridden. She did come from an Amish family and is said to be traffic safe. Cupcake is puppy dog gentle on the ground. She moves out well all the way around and has a shoe on every foot. Cupcake showed no reason why she couldn't go barefoot during evaluation today. She is easy to catch and handle, stands tied, loads and unloads well, and is good with her feet. Cupcake is absolutely stunning in person, and with some TLC, grooming, good groceries, and deworming, Cupcake will definitely be quite the showstopper. Standardbreds are incredibly intelligent, loyal, and courageous. Meet Cherry 093 Breed: Quarter Gender: Mare Available until 2/7 at 5pm Cherry is a beautiful sorrel Quarter horse mare complete with a flaxen mane and tail. She is approximately 6 years old and stands 14.2HH. Cherry has been ridden in a feed yard and has not been treated properly. From the sounds of it she finally got tired of the rough treatment and she bucked someone off which landed her in the pen. My suggestion would be to restart her from the ground, create a bond with her and to start her over under saddle. Cherry is nervous in her new environment but when you reassure her that she is going to be okay she starts to settle in. Cherry does have good legs and will be in need of a pedicure.
