‼️ FREE 840 Tag Pick-up Opportunity ‼️

The Illinois Department of Agriculture and IBA have partnered together to give beef producers the opportunity to order and pick-up 840 tags through the RFID 840 Tag Program during the Illinois State Fair! Read below to find out how:

Any producer who submits the 840 Tag Program Order Form by Friday, August 2, and denotes the code "ISF" in the "Date of pick-up" space is able to claim up to 500 free tags. The IDoA will have a tag pick-up during junior heifer check-in on Tuesday, August 6, from 8AM till 3PM, in the Junior Livestock Barn. If you are exhibiting in the open show, or a producer visiting the Illinois State Fair after August 6, the Illinois Beef Association will host pick-up hours at their office on select days listed (see photo). Paper copies of the 840 Tag Program Order Form will be available at each of the pick-up times and locations, where you can submit a hard copy form for tags to be picked up at one of the later pick-up slots.

Information on how to order the 840 tags and animal disease traceability can be found at https://agr.illinois.gov/animals/animalhealth/premises-registration.html

**Pick-up will also be available during the DuQuoin State Fair for producers who submit the 840 Tag Program Order Form by Friday, August 23, and denotes "DSF" in the "Date of pick-up". More details regarding pick-up times and locations will be available at a later date.**

Great Dane needing a new home (prefer prior Dane experience)

Dr. Wendy has been fostering a harlequin/Merle Great Dane for the last 2-3 weeks. She came to be with Dr. Wendy after being aggressive to some of the staff at the kennel. She loved two of the care takers but did not trust anyone else. She has bonded quickly with Dr. Wendy. She has learned the routine well and appears housebroken, however she does not like the terriers in the house hold. She gets along with the other Great Dane and has worked out her differences with the beagles. She is about 85 lbs, heartworm negative, has been vaccinated , and is spayed. If you are interrested in giving her a forever home contact Dr. Wendy at 812-307-9579.

This young girl is in need of a new forever home. 2 Years old, spayed, female English Shepherd. Up to date on vaccines. Heartworm test and f***l will be done before release. She is a herding breed. Dr. Wendy took her home over the weekend and she made no accidents in the house overnight and did pretty good with her crew. She did get into a small scuffle with Scooter the Jack Russell but he started it. She does well in a fenced in yard. She sits, lays down, and has good leash manors thus far. Anyone interested please call or text the clinic at 618-643-2957. We want to find her a good fit.
