UPDATE: Relentless has sold!!
Relentless NLS (known on our farm as "Rhett") is currently offered for sale just in time for him to be started under saddle. As a blank canvas, Rhett has a quiet, calm demeaner and a love for human interaction. He has lovely movement with plenty of suspension in the trot, a balanced, uphill canter, and a fantastic walk. Rhett stands for the farrier, loads well on a trailer, stands tied, leads, and stands quietly for grooming and blanketing. He gets along well with other horses and currently lives out 24/7.
*PLEASE READ* Relentless was born with a malocclusion of the lower jaw (he has a parrot mouth.) Many veterinarians have looked at him and have stated that this is a cosmetic flaw that should not interfere with training!! He eats and maintains his weight very well!!! Do not let his low price deter you- this is a very high quality young horse with loads of potential!!! He is the perfect horse for an amateur rider on a budget, and I fully suspect that the first person to come and see him will buy him!!!!!
Additionally, as a foal, Relentless was born with a deviation of the lower right leg, which required surgical correction. The surgery was successful and has no bearing on his ability to perform as an athlete. He is and always has been sound. I am happy to take him to a veterinary clinic for radiographs (at buyers expense).
Relentless is ready to start under saddle. Buy him now and train him through the winter so he can begin his show career in the spring!! An excellent home is an absolute MUST. He has the best disposition and adores human interaction!! He currently sticks at 16.1 1/2H; I suspect he will finish right at 16.2H.
His sire, Rascalino completed the dressage portion of his Adelheidsdorf performance test with the knockout score of 153.37. This score was good enough to make him the winner of the test, with the score of 103.56 on the jumping portion. In fact, this respectable jumping score is probably a product of the of the Wedekind/Ferdinand and Wendekreis/Ferdinand in damsire, Velten Third's background. A further performance component is added through paternal grandsire Rubinstein I, a line known for dressage excellence, but also with some talent at the jump. World Cup III as the sire of the second dam insures dressage excellence. Rascalino is a beautiful, elegant animal with the best gaits and exceptional freedom of the shoulders, sure to make his mark in modern dressage breeding, in the hoofprints of his famous sire and grandsire.
Rascalino’s sire, Rotspon, needs no introduction. After years of producing quality offspring, in 2017 Rotspon was awarded 'Hanoverian Stallion of the Year' by the Hanoverian Verband in Verden, Germany.
Rotspon is a top quality son of the dressage stallion Rubinstein I. He was the sovereign winner of the Hanoverian stallion performance test in 1998, scoring an excellent 148.82 points in the dressage category. Like his father, Rotspon is a very impressive horse with a great rideability, outstanding movements and a high ability for dressage. He also has a good jumping technique which is above average. He is an elegantly made sire in a noble black coat with a lot of expression and appearance.
Rotspon's son, Rosevelt, competed for Team USA at the 2016 Rio Olympics. With his rider Allison Brock, Team USA won Bronze. Rosevelt also won the 2015 Grand Prix in Wellington, FL and did it again one month later at the Grand Prix CD13*.
The first crop of offspring by Rotspon were born in the year 2000. The foals have beautiful heads and a good conformation (long sloping shoulder, long well set up neck). They are equipped with a very elastic trot and a ground covering walk, and have been very much in demand. In the 2015, according to the Hanoverian Stallion Book, Rotspon is credited with 888 competition progeny with winnings of €680,105 – 767 dressage placegetters with 80 progeny competing at S level.
His dam, Flame Dancer, known on our farm as "Fantasia" is one of our foundation broodmares. She is by Elite Hanoverian Stallion Fabuleux, and out of a Graf Goetz mare. Fantasia is in the Main Mare Books with both the American Hanoverian Society and the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society (GOV). Fantasia is 16.1H, dark bay with a beautiful head. She passes on her wonderful temperament, uphill movement, an exceptional hind leg, and that classic rocking horse canter that Fabuleux offspring are known for. In 2018, she produced a beautiful dark bay (almost black) c**t by Supremat OLD (Sandro Hit/Rubinstein I) who was named premium foal and stallion prospect at his Oldenburg inspection!
Her sire, ES Fabuleux, a Class I Stallion, successfully completed his 100-Day Test in Adelheidsdorf, where his exceptional scores included Walk 9, Trot 9, Canter 10, Temperament 9, Rideability 9, Willingness to Work 9. He received the outstanding dressage score of 130.45 points. Fabuleux has sired dozens of top foals and premium foals. They have won numerous Get of Sire classes at major shows in North America. He has sired numerous Elite Mare Candidates, High Scoring Mares, and Top AHS Inspection Tour Mares. Fabuleux is from a rare damline illustrating 7 direct generations of SPS/Elite Mares.
Her damsire, Graf Goetz, was the famous chestnut stallion who captured the hearts of dressage fans in the early 90's under trainer Steven Wolgemuth. The pair were elected most successful AHSA competitors in 1990, were long listed with the USET in 1992 after winning their first 6 Grand Prix's and in 1993 were the 4th highest ranking combination in the US coming into the tryouts for the North American Championships. Graf Goetz produced many amateur horses throughout the United States who typically had his large, expressive eye, superb walk, and affectionate and outgoing personality. His handsome presence has been used for artist sketches, paintings, and even a popular dressage license plate. Graf Goetz made himself an outstanding career in the US, trained and ridden by Steven Wolgemuth. Since his pedigree is more directed to the jumper division, Steven and Graf Goetz have proven that rideability and athletic ability are the foundation of any kind of training in any discipline.
