It is owned by Cory & Melody Martin. I married Cory in 2001, we are parents of two boys, & we enjoy our quiet, slow-paced life. I have owned & loved horses all my life, & I was inspired by the movie "Black Stallion." I purchased a Friesian Sporthorse in 2002, & we constructed our stable barn in 2016.

Some people are surprised when I mention that I have bald eagle feathers, as the federal government strictly protects them. However, I am taken aback when I hear about wind turbines going up in my community.
As we embrace progress, I hope we can also ensure that our bald eagles continue to soar above us, inspiring future generations with their grace and resilience. Let's strive to find a balance that honors both innovation and nature's wonders.

🌿🦅 Profoundly Grateful and Humbled 🦅🌿

This morning, I had the incredible and surprising opportunity to witness our bald eagle. Its presence inspires me to reflect on the moments in my journey when I had to summon strength and faith. Sharing these moments with you feels like celebrating the courage we discover in our journeys.

In the Bible, eagles are often seen as symbols of God's love and strength. Isaiah 40:31 says, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint."

In Cherokee culture, the bald eagle symbolizes strength, courage, and spiritual connection—it is a messenger between people and the creator, carrying our prayers and hopes on its wings.

May these images inspire us to recognize and celebrate the greatness in those around us. Just as I was fortunate to witness this eagle, we too can discover extraordinary people and moments when we open our hearts.

Brush Springs Stables hosted an Open Hearts and Open Barn event, welcoming 50 guests and showcasing their facilities and Friesian horses. The day featured a prayer, community support from the mayor, and various activities. Sponsors provided food, and a local nonprofit organization was also featured. 🎉 What an incredible day! 🎉

We were thrilled to welcome approximately 50 attendees to our first-ever Open House at Brush Springs. The day started with a heartfelt prayer from Brandon Baumgarten of Hazel Dell Baptist Church, setting the perfect tone for our event.

A special thank you to Mayor Daniel McClure of McLoud for introducing our amazing contributors:
- Lynette Woodhouse of Woodhaven Friesians who also donated a saddle to Cargo Ranch.

Today, we celebrate 23 incredible years of marriage. I’m so grateful for my husband, who has been my rock and partner in every adventure, especially in building this barn and supporting all our projects. Aurora Avail, our baby horse, had a special day today as she got microchipped🛡️! This will help keep our horses safe, and in areas prone to tornadoes, it can help identify a lost horse. Additionally, it's part of the process of getting her registered with the Friesian Horse Association of North America!

After microchipping Avail, Dr. Lawson used the reader to ensure the chip worked properly. 🐴 Thank you, Cory, for your help😘!

Our surveillance cameras just caught some mischievous horses in action. Baby Avail is kicking her mom to go play, while Lorelei is a complete mess, covered and soaked with mud from head to hoof!

Fall Preg Check at 5 Mths

Great news! Our vet just confirmed that our pregnancy is going smoothly. The baby horse is currently about the size of a furry friend, Cookie, 14 llbs. We’re absolutely thrilled to be growing our family and can’t wait to welcome the little foal into our lives. Lorelei’s due date is May 16.

New Dressage Areana

Today, we’re trying out our new 60x20m dressage areana and I love how flat it is. This project costs only about $300 👍.
