We offer spayed/neutered pet discounts along with a discount for pets rescued from shelters. We offer a bathe your own pet discount with some restrictions. We require pets be up to date on Rabies, DHLP-P and Kennel Cough in dogs. At this time we are doing limited amount of cats and we require Rabies and FCVR/Leuk for cats. Please call to make an appointment or to get cost estimates, we can not do these online.

Some people had asked if we would do a Facebook live video. I unfortunately forgot to give my phone to Danielle so she tried it with her phone which would not let her post it to our page and for some reason, which is above my pay grade, I could not share it from my page. So some days, some many attempts and some trimming I believe I finally got the Facebook gurus to let me share it to the page.
At least let’s hope it works

If you requested ornaments on Sun and would like for us to hold them for you so you can put them on the trees please let us know.

After technical difficulties (me turning off the breaker) I was so excited I just flipped the switch with no count down just a Ta Da, lol. This is our 4th year and I've never gotten to see the lighting from the other side. I just got a chance to see the video today and I have to admit I got a little teary eyed. Thank you Jason Martin for spending your evening capturing some of the best photos and video and making it possible for me to see it from the 1st Responders view.

If we don't all try to teach kindness to children, all children, no matter who's they are, then how can we expect them to know how to be kind, respectful, understanding of differences. These qualities are just as important, if not more these days, than math, language and sciences. If only the person that left the racist, disgusting graffiti on the bus stop had been taught some of those qualities by someone, anyone, our conversations today would been of a lot less anger and sadness at how hatred can seem so acceptable. Through my anger and frustration of people's stupidity I almost forgot that I too should be teaching kindness. Thank you Center McMechen Elementary School children for being a great teacher in kindness. My hope beyond hope is that we can all learn from you

THANK YOU to everyone that got FETCH balls, stopped by our spot at the Fall Festival and gave Twinkie some love. We met so many amazing wonderful people today and throughout this whole fundraising event. We are grateful and humbled by the support. To Denise Marshall Nally and Marilyn who got up early this morning to set up, big thanks. To Sarah, Marilyn and the McCombs family who came back to help tear down and pack up, you're the best. Thanks to the ever awesome Denise, we couldn't have done this without you and everyone that helped get everything back in the shop, much love and appreciation. "Together we'll do some good" Congrats to Jeannie (hope I spelled that right) the winner of the 50/50 FETCH. And Twinkie says sorry to everyone who asked her to remember their number, she says she did her best but Mom would only let her pick one, lol

Twinkie heard that Texas Roadhouse had their donation from our Dine to Donate ready and she was excited to go fetch it. Many thanks for the opportunity to fundraise, between the 10% they donated and the 50/50 FETCH we raised over $500. We are beyond grateful.

It may be Fri. the 13th but it's a lucky day for the Minders. Twinkie Fetched their number for a $25 gift certificate. This Sun. Sept. 15th 11-2 stop down to Mason Dixon in Moundsville and purchase 50/50 tennis balls. You'll get a chance to win a $25 Mason Dixon card. All balls purchased will be entered in the 50/50 FETCH

Well it's that time of year again. Before you know it the Captina Conservancy Duck Dash will be here on July 27th. Twinkie has started training and encouraging, the Paw It Forward Duck Dash team. She has 12 spots to fill and needs your help. All you need to do is comment with a not for profit organization and contact info below and we will add them to the training roster. You can also call the shop. If this is a shared post please go to Happy Tails and Paw It Forward page and comment on the original pinned post. On July 19th Twinkie will pick her team of 12 from the list of organizations. Those organizations will be assigned a duck for the dash and will be eligible to win prizes from $50 to $500. Twinkie will again have the honor of picking out 3 of her favorite ducks at the end of the race to win $50 each sponsored by Paw It Forward. If you are interested in purchasing your own ducks we have them for sale at Happy Tails $10 each or 3 for $25

Together we’ll do some good

Happy Tails Pet Salon is a small locally owned and managed pet grooming facility. When we say small we mean 2 employees, the owner/groomer Terri Lindsey and the manager/bather Ethel Brown. Since we first opened our doors on Feb. 23rd, 2006 we have been active volunteers in the community and fundraising. We have been blessed with a support system of family, friends and customers that are considered our Happy Tails Family. Fortunately with the growth of our business our community involvement grew as well. So much so, we realized we could offer more support to groups and individuals if we organized and consolidated our energies. This led to the creation of Happy Tails Paw It Forward and without the partnership of the Marshall Co. Family Resource Network (FRN) would not have been possible. Working through the FRN we are able to receive tax deductible donations that enables us to help community organizations, individuals in need and grass roots programs that too often struggle for support. Our efforts aren't just local like: Helping Heroes, CASA for Children, individual medical and disaster recovery efforts, area animal shelters, local K9 Units and area First Responders, but includes sponsoring K-9 First Aid Kits and needed training for K-9's and their handlers throughout the US. Paw It Forward is solely funded by donations and the fundraising efforts of volunteers and Happy Tails. Be assured every dollar goes into the programs, not operating costs.
