‼️Deadline 07/16/2024‼️ PLEASE SHARE

We need your help! PCACC is currently at 170+% capacity. We simply have no more kennels, offices or storage rooms to store animals in. More animals are coming in everyday than are leaving and we are left with no choice but to issue pleas for dogs in our care who are struggling being confined in the shelter for such long periods of time.

Road Runner was caught in a trap in Maricopa with some superficial wounds above her eyes. She allows us to pick her up and carry her. But she does not solicit attention or readily take treats from us yet. Road Runner is extremely fearful of other dogs and can be defensive when meeting new dogs snapping at them to create space but does not pursue them to engage in a fight. She is just simply terrified. Unfortunately this means she has not been able to be cohoused while at the shelter. She will need a patient quiet home where she can learn to have a family for the first time.

If you want to save a life but cant help any of these particular pups PLEASE reach out and let us know what you are looking for! Every animal that leaves the shelter makes space for others.

Listening to the News this morning, they suggested to water about 3x's longer than normal to give things a 'deep water' through the upcoming heat wave.... Apparently Hazel missed the part about that being for the plants, not the dogs.. 🤷🏼‍♀️🐕❤️

Hope everyone stays safe and hydrated (take notes from Hazel's how too) through the Holiday and prolonged heat wave!!

Yesterday's guests, a couple of teeny tiny Chihuahua 'sisters', Zoey and Opal❣️
These adorable little ladies enjoyed hair cuts and nails trims in the comfort of their own home, provided by Stuff N Things Mobile Grooming! Little miss long haired Opal was pretty scared of anything electric, so everything was hand clipped and cut for her.

Ended the day at Stuff N Things Home Grooming Studio, with the handsome gentlemen Blue. A double shampoo bath with some medicated shampoo for his sensitive skin and nail trim before him and his parents are off for their road trip.🐕💙

Last appointment of the day. An emergency call for a nail trim before this little guys surgery, testicle removal!

Thank you to those that spay and neuter your pets!!
It is up to us (humans) to think for the voiceless and help the ongoing, overwhelming overpopulation.

Spay and neuter your pets! If you do not have the funds, there is help out there, you just have to ask.
They can't do it without us... 🐕🐈🤠❣️

Late update,
Phoenix had an in home groom last week (in his home), he had a recent injury disabling him from the ability to stand for long periods.
A slow and low key (on his time) brush out, nail trim and sanitary trim.
I even got a little visit from his feline sissy and did a bit of multitasking (loving while grooming) so everyone could feel included.

Mom's not sure how much longer she can handle the fluffy coat as he's not a fan of 'home brushes' in between groom appointments. For now though, she love's it!

Follow up for the BIGGEST BABY EVER, Maya had her nails trimmed and teeth brushed today.
Working towards more natural and short nail quicks. Progress is showing and she's always such an angel!!! 🐕❣️

Transformation for Miss Birdie, requested by "Mom and Dad",
"Get her out of the 'Doodle haircut' impersonation done by the previous groomer and into her true breed's hairdo. Short summer cut, with some fluff left on ears, less hair the better. Poodle feet please, and a carrot shaped tail." 🐕❣️
