Reminding myself of aaaallllll the pretty colors I have.
And I have learned just how many feet fit in each tote I have dedicated to my 8-ply. . . Its a lot. In each tote. As well as a lot of mohair in my craft room.

Better work on winning a lottery to buy a house with a dedicated workshop or much bigger craft room!

Or build more pretties. Sell enough pretties that my mohair buys a bigger house? One can dream!

Burning the (later than) midnight oil and working on a custom set. Thank goodness this is quiet, so I can work on it in the weird night walker hours I am keeping right now (brief stint working overnights in my full time position), means I can get stuff done while my husband sleeps 💤

Happy
I have admittedly not been as diligent about posting these- but have a color packed set to help you decide on just the right option for your custom tack! Or maybe you need some inspiration to help in designing some tack. That is why I make these posts, especially you see what is available! I will also say it often helps me find inspiration for a new piece when I reacquaint myself with the fun options I have.

In my effort to be organized, I have started separating my mohair into bins. It started with one bin for my 8 supply, and 1 bin for my 2 ply. These bins have not only gotten bigger, but I now have more of them. In fact, I have one bin dedicated to mohair purchased from a particular artist that I've worked with a lot- the talented Laura Tatum-Cowen, of Mohair Weavers Anonymous . All of these pieces are from her.

All 3 of these pieces honestly call to me in breast colors, and the subtle tye dye is one I would love to see would love to use for a little girl and her pony! The green/turquoise/natural makes me want to put it on a gladiator style chest piece. Thisbseems like a great piece for a stout sorrel or bay.

Somewhere between the time change and the rainy weather I have been experiencing, I have found myself having a case of the blues, grays, and blacks. That is how I themed this weeks color varieties

All of these are mill dyed options, and the bright turquoise is one I have a very large amount of! I also cannot think of a horse color that this would not look good with

The tie dye is Riders of the Storm, and is natural, gray, black and steel blue. It is sublte but rich. Another option for all colors of horses.

The last is Spanish Peaks, teal, black and natural. I can get detail cord in in all these coordinating colors, to really make it stand out.
