Regular health checks for your bunnies are essential to keep them happy and healthy.

This includes making sure their teeth and nails are at the right length and shape, regular grooming sessions to keep their fur in top condition, and Don't forget to check them for flystrike, especially during the warmer months! 🩺

It's crucial to inspect your rabbits daily, and during hot weather, twice a day to catch any early signs of flystrike. Ensuring their welfare involves a consistent and thorough approach to their health care. 🌡

I support this 100% and this is why we ask for photos of your set up, and ask questions about your family, and what your looking for in terms of a pet bunny to include in your family!

I had this boy returned to me a few days ago which is not a problem I always take my rabbits back. However his first owner rehomed him without contacting me even though I discussed my policy with her which frustrates me.

What I’m about to say next is not to shame the family that returned him I’m very happy she reached out to me but it is something that needs to be discussed and I’ve been thinking about it long before this.

I am not anti rehoming at all. Some pets do not fit certain lifestyles and families and that is okay! However, if you are getting a pet for your child, YOU are the main caretaker. If you don’t want to put in the time or care, do not get the animal. This is the reason this rabbit was returned and the reason I see so many small animals (like rabbits) rehomed. A child is not capable of being the sole caretaker for themselves much less another life. Stop setting your own kids up for failure I promise they won’t forget. I’m almost 30 years old and being forced to give up some of my pets as a child is forever ingrained in my mind.

I say all of that to say I have seriously considered stopping pet home sales at all. Going forward I will require photos of your setup and possibly a short application in order to purchase a pet rabbit from us. They are an 8-10 year commitment with a lot of cleaning! Honestly I find my other animals significantly easier to care for. Bunnies are not good first time pets! I am happy to help anyone figure out the best setup for their space and I’m available 24/7 after you bring your bunny home but I cannot do the work for you.
