This Thursday the Friends of the Payette Avalanche Center Is celebrating the beginning of the season at Cougar Dave's in Donnelly from 6-8pm. $25 gets you gourmet mac and cheese, 2 drinks, and a raffle ticket. Support the Payette Avalanche Center and pray for snow this weekend!

This morning a group US Air Force Para Jumper/Rescuers visited Tamarack to perform an avalanche rescue scenario. It was a pleasure watching them work through 2 challenging scenarios involving beacons and their search and rescue dog, Callie. Thanks to everyone involved to make this possible!

Molly is one of Tamaracks validated avalanche dogs. She loves to tug and play fetch. You can find Molly on the mountain always looking to give lots of love! We love you miss wobbles!

This weeks storm produced 37” at Tamarack!❄️
Patrol has been hard at work getting tons of trails open for public. Come ski the cold smoke and make sure to bundle up! Temperatures this weekend will reach lows in the single digits with wind chills in the negatives.

3” served us well today with more in the forecast!
Patrol was out early this morning working hard to clean up the cornice along the ridge and was busy helping people around the mountain all day! Thanks for coming out, ski safe!

Patrol is gearing up for the New Year with lots of training and hard work to keep the mountain safe for everyone! The upper mountain is skiing great today and there is snow in the forecast! See you on the hill ⛷️
