We had such a wonderful time at the Holiday Open Classic show in Raleigh a few weeks ago! Competitive classes, supportive riders, excellent judges and feedback—we cannot thank the Equestrian Western Team at NCSU enough for organizing! Special shoutout to Logan, Ruby, Mara, Ivy, and Robyn for their great rides and to Beth Ann being an amazing trainer that does everything to support our riders and horses! 🎄🎊🐴

Halloween festivities continued over the weekend at Woodlawn Stables with our annual Halloween Parade and we just HAD to share some of the incredible costumes that our students put together this year…truly some of the best we have ever seen! 🤩 Thank you to all riders, horses, and family that helped make Halloween extra festive this year! 🐴💙

It is so special to see our students progress over time and Mara is a great example! From weekly lessons to the show ring, it is great to see what Mara and Willow have accomplished over the past year. Congrats to one full year of their lease and we can’t wait to see what is next to come! 💙🐴

Thank you so incredibly much to everyone who participated in our final UHC show of the 2024 season in support of breast cancer awareness month! 💗 Beautiful weather, fantastic riders, and the most supportive series around—truly couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion to the season. Always a bittersweet feeling though since we cherish the genuine, friendly, encouraging dynamic that UHC brings! Until next year!! 🐴💙

We are so very excited to announce that, after years of hard work and dedication, our student Olivia has officially purchased This Jack Bar is Radical (aka Ash)! Olivia and Ash have been a dynamic pair over the past few years, showing in both English and Western classes! We are so excited for this duo and cannot wait to see where the future takes them! 🐴💙

Woodlawn Stables Open Horse Show on September 7th at 10am with English, Western Pleasure, and Working Western classes! Great class list, incredible judge, and fun for the whole family—you won't want to miss it!

This week’s 💥FEATURE FRIDAY💥 is a familiar face around Woodlawn Stables! Barbara has been training, boarding, and working at Woodlawn for numerous years along with her daughter Kendall! Many of you may know Barbara as the announcer for any shows that we host! Our Woodlawn Stables community would not be the same without Barbara!! 💙 We also want to congratulate Barbara and her trainer, Emma, for their recent purchase of Catch the Wind (aka Flynn)! We cannot wait to see where their bright future will go!! 🐴💙

FUN FACT: Barbara has another daughter, Katherine, who also rode at Woodlawn! What a fun family activity! 🐴

Summer snapshots of the Woodlawn barn kitties—Mr. Whiskers and Merlin! When the summer months get so very hot, their favorite places to lay include: on the top of anyone’s car, the hay cart, a singular or stack of pads (particularly if someone is about to use it), the picnic table, and especially in the middle of the driveway if there’s a ray of sunshine! ☀️ These spoiled boys sure keep us laughing!! 🐱🐴💙

Happy 4th of July from all of us at Woodlawn Stables! Many of our riders and family members participated in our annual parade this morning, walking 1.5 miles through our back field, the beautiful Canterwood neighborhood, and back around to the farm! Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday!! ❤️🤍💙🐴

Woodlawn Stables hosted our first show of the season as part of the United Horsemen of the Carolina (UHC) series!! It was such a great day filled with fantastic riding, competitive classes, lots of laughs, and the most gorgeous weather!
