Everyone say "Meow" to this cutie pie!

Meet Pumpkin-a tiny ball of fluff with the confidence of a lion and the attitude of a queen.

She's very talkative, loves sitting on my lap, resting her head on my belly, getting pets, and has absolutely no problem sharing her opinions. (My kind of girl!)

Pumpkin shares her home with a tuxedo cat and two Great Pyrenees dogs, but don't think for one second that she considers herself the smallest member of the family.

Funny story: I refilled their water bowl, and Pumpkin patiently stood by waiting for the fresh batch to be served. The second I set the bowl down, she walked right over and started drinking. Then Agnes, one of the Great Pyrenees, approached the bowl.

Big mistake.

Pumpkin gave Agnes a quick hiss that clearly translated to: "Excuse me, ma'am. The refreshment station is currently occupied."

And guess what?

Agnes waited.

That's right. A Great Pyrenees, roughly the size of a small polar bear, stood there waiting for permission from a cat who weighs less than the water bowl.

Pumpkin was basically saying, "Don't let this cute face and tiny frame fool y'all. I run this house."

🐾 Welcome to Kristal’s Paws & Cuddles, Turtle & Harley! 🐾

I was so excited to provide pet care for these two sweet fur babies after their mom found me on Yelp! We had such a wonderful weekend together, and I quickly fell in love with their unique personalities.

Harley is all about her walks! She loves taking her time to sniff and explore the world around her. And if you really want to win her over, give her some gentle scratches under her neck! It's one of her favorite things!

Turtle is a Fetch enthusiast through and through! The tennis ball is definitely his toy of choice, and he could spend hours chasing it and bringing it back for another throw.

These two kept me smiling all weekend with their sweet personalities, happy tail wags, and lots of sweet kisses. It was such a joy getting to know them!

Please help me give Turtle and Harley a warm Kristal's Paws & Cuddles welcome!

While I'm out and about visiting your sweet pets in the comfort of their own homes, these two are holding down the fort at my home base!

Meet Jazzy and Jax! They are my personal fur babies and the official "Management & Security Team" behind Kristal’s Paws and Cuddles. Miss Jazzy keeps a sharp eye on the perimeter, while Jax handles quality control (mostly testing out treats).

They are Mommy’s absolute pride and joy, and they are one of the reasons I love dedicated pet care so much. Rest assured, while my personal crew keeps things running smoothly at home, your pets are getting my full, undivided attention right in their own safe havens!

May at Kristal’s Paws & Cuddles: The Healing Power of Pets ♥️🐾♥️

This month was a beautiful reminder of something I have the privilege of witnessing every single day—the quiet, powerful way animals care for us right back.

In the middle of busy schedules and full lives, there’s something special about slowing down with a wagging tail, a soft purr, cheerful chirps, or even the peaceful presence of fish swimming nearby. These moments may seem small, but they have a way of bringing comfort, easing stress, and reminding us to breathe.

Throughout May, I experienced so many of these moments—during walks, Drop-In visits, feeding time, sitting in the shade, and simply being present. Whether furry, feathered, or finned, every pet brings something meaningful to the lives of the people who love them.

Each visit was a gentle reminder that pets do more than keep us company… they help care for our hearts, too.

This week, I had the absolute pleasure of caring for this handsome boy, Theo!

When I met him during our Meet & Greet, he quickly ran off and kept his distance, which I’m used to because felines can sometimes be a little cautious and reserved around new people. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that with cats, trust isn’t rushed; it’s earned through patience, gentleness, consistency, and allowing them to feel safe in their own space.

During my first visit, Theo had an upset tummy and was clearly missing his parents. After speaking with his mom, we added a midday TLC wellness check-in visit to his schedule, and what a difference that extra love and companionship made! Soon, the shy little guy who once ran away was greeting me at the door, talking to me, playing, enjoying lap time, bird and squirrel watching sessions by the window, and happily eating his meals beside me.

Watching a cat slowly learn to trust you is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and sweet Theo completely stole my heart this week. 🐱

April in Bloom at KPAC:

April showed up with warmer days, blooming everything, and a little extra pep in every step. Well, at least some days…..One day felt warm and sunny, the next brought a chill right back in. That classic spring back-and-forth kept us all on our toes, but the pets didn’t mind one bit.

The sunshine stuck around longer, the air felt lighter, and the pets definitely noticed.

This month was full of playful visits, curious little moments, and personalities shining in their own way. From outdoor lounging and treat time in the fresh air, to quiet check-ins and sweet companionship, every visit had its own rhythm.

One of my favorite moments this month? Watching dogs meet for the first time and become BFFs—no matter their size. From tiny paws to gentle giants, those connections are always something special. It’s the connection between rabbits and cats, tiny dogs and big dogs. It’s huge dog bowls and small dog bowls—and everything in between.

And of course, a little Easter fun sprinkled in—because who can resist a cute moment or two this time of year?

There’s something about this season that just feels good… and getting to spend it with so many amazing pets made it even better.

So grateful for the families who trust me with their babies—it never goes unnoticed.
