Exciting developments are happening! 🥳 Paws4ever is THRILLED to announce that we have received a grant from the Best Friends Animal Society that will allow us to more heavily assist our wonderful county shelter partner, the Animal Protection Society of Caswell County!

Our mission with this grant will focus on not only increasing our intake of animals from Animal Protection Society of Caswell County , but also helping them to strengthen their intake diversion programs! What does this mean? More pets STAY in homes, as well as increased in-house shelter related assistance and support from Paws4ever.

We are so grateful to Best Friends Animal Society for giving us this opportunity to partner with a wonderful organization to SAVE MORE ANIMAL LIVES! 🐾🫂

☀ HAPPILY ADOPTED ☀ Congratulations to CALLIE for finding her forever home! Callie had the ultimate adventure - she spent a few weeks in a foster home opening up and exploring new things, which in turn prepared her tremendously for the family that adopted her! Shout out to Callie's wonderful foster who was patient with her, provided her the space and time to blossom, and even drove her all the way to Fayetteville to live with her new adopters. THANK YOU! We cannot wait to hear what new adventures you go on, Callie!

😻 HAPPY TAIL 😻 Love is in the air EVERYDAY when you adopt a rescue pet. Let's read about how Ellie the cat is doing in her new home:

"Ellie has brought so much joy to our lives and has settled in so well that it’s hard to believe she’s only been home with us for about two weeks!

She is such an affectionate cat! She wakes us up in the morning with lots of purring and cuddles, and usually crawls in our laps at least once or twice a day for a nap. She’ll greet us throughout the day with trills and chirps, which always makes us melt.

She’s obsessed with playtime and loves chasing her toy mice around the house and batting at any toy with feathers. We also try to give her some sort of enrichment activity every day: treat puzzles, lick plates, etc. and she has a lot of fun figuring those out.

She hit it off pretty quickly with her new big brother, Chewy. They gave each other their space for the first few days, trading curious sniffs from a comfortable distance, but they soon started cuddling together on the couch and joining in each other’s playtime. One of their favorite things to do together is look out the windows and watch the birds and squirrels in the yard.

Ellie is truly the perfect addition to our family and we love her so much. We could not be more grateful to Paws4ever for helping us bring her home!"

⚠️ FOSTER NEEDED ⚠️ If you know us, you know Alvin has been in our care at Paws4ever long term, 216 days to be exact. Alvin is a social, happy dog in need of a temporary home. He is scheduled for TPLO Knee Surgery at the end of this month and will need a calm, comfortable space to heal for at least 6 weeks. He will do best in a home where he is the only pet. ❗️We are URGENTLY looking for a foster home for Alvin! ❗️

Surgery recovery can be tough and it’s crucial that he has a supportive and comfortable environment to rest, recuperate, and get back to his best. With YOUR help, we can make sure he gets the care he needs!

We have a bit of a problem on our paws... We need pet food! 🙀 Our Community Pet Support Pantry is an important service we offer to community members in need. We use this food to serve pet owners who call for help with supplies, through S.A.F.E (Southern Alamance Family Empowerment), and through Meals on Wheels Loves Pets! We accept any and all brands of pet food, even if they are opened (and haven't gone bad). Please donate!

Look at that smile 😍 Moe got to go on an exciting Doggie Day Out! Let's see how it went:

"Moe was so sweet! Very calm in the car and was really good with not pulling on the leash. First, he took a trip to battle park to sit outside and continued his day by going on a walk at the Carolina north forest. He loved sniffing trees and looking while walking and was great. Then we went home and sat on the couch for a while and he took a nap.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to spend our day with him!"

These prices are to ensure that we are able to run our adoption center and provide quality care for our animals.
