4th of July is coming up, and many celebrations (fireworks/parades/festivals) start before that. If your dog needs medication to help alleviate the stress of fireworks displays, please contact us early to allow time for us to process your request. We always work to fill prescriptions as quickly as we can, but during busy times it can take 24-48 hours to fill medications. So please get those requests in now to make sure you get them in time!

It's hot out there! Here are some safety tips for your pets in this hot weather. Remember...symptoms of heatstroke include: excessive panting, lethargy, weakness, drooling, high fever, dark/red gums, rapid heartbeat, unresponsiveness, vomiting, and collapse. If you suspect heatstroke, contact your veterinarian immediately! It is imperative to get your pet to a veterinarian quickly, as heatstroke can be fatal. While on your way, you can help lower your pet’s temperature by applying towels soaked in cool water to the hairless areas of the pet’s body, especially your pet’s feet (do not use ice water). If possible, place your pet’s face near a fan or in front of an air conditioning vent en route to the hospital.

With broken hearts and heavy souls, we share the loss of two of our beloved hospital cats this week. Jo-Jo and George were part of our family…and they brought comfort and joy to our lives every day. We are hurting and in disbelief. Next week we will honor their memories by sharing the stories of their lives. Please be understanding with us as we mourn.

Starting March 7th, 2025, our office will be closing at 6:00pm on Fridays. Our schedule will remain unchanged the rest of the week. Our normal business hours will be Monday-Thursday 7am-7pm, Friday 7am-6pm, and Saturday 8am-12pm.
