Veterinary receptionists are often the first and last point of contact during a pet care visit. They are an essential part of the team and we could not function without them!

With broken hearts and heavy souls, we share the loss of two of our beloved hospital cats this week. Jo-Jo and George were part of our family…and they brought comfort and joy to our lives every day. We are hurting and in disbelief. Next week we will honor their memories by sharing the stories of their lives. Please be understanding with us as we mourn.

🐾 Important Update: New Friday Closing Time! 🐾

Dear Lambs Gap Animal Hospital Family,

Starting March 7th, 2025, our office will be closing at 6:00pm on Fridays. Our schedule will remain unchanged the rest of the week. Our normal business hours will be Monday-Thursday 7am-7pm, Friday 7am-6pm, and Saturday 8am-12pm.

Our team remains dedicated to providing the best care for your pets, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this adjustment.

Important Notice Regarding Save This Life Microchips:

We have recently discovered that Save This Life, the microchip company we utilize, has ceased operations nationwide. They are no longer responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, or other communication channels. As a result, Save This Life microchips are no longer functional for reuniting lost pets with their owners.

To ensure your pet’s microchip remains a reliable safety measure, we strongly recommend transferring its registration to another trusted microchip registry.

Recommended Microchip Registries:

✅ Free Pet Chip Registry – A free, universal registry compatible with all microchip brands. You can register your pet at freepetchipregistry.com.

✅ Other Reputable Registries – there are links for three trusted registries on the image, however these do incur a fee to register

If you are unsure of your pet’s microchip number, you can look it up on the PetDesk app or give us a call. We will be reaching out to all clients whose pet received a Save This Life microchip from us through email over the next week with your pet’s microchip information.

This beautiful boy began hanging around outside one of our client's homes in October. She began feeding him and gained his trust...and was able to bring him inside a couple weeks ago. However, she has another cat who is not interested in a feline friend so is looking for a loving home for this sweet boy. He is estimated to be around 1 year old. He is neutered, vaccinated, and tested negative for Felv & FIV; he does have intestinal parasites (which is expected from living outside) which are being treated. He is a bit scared and nervous and we are not sure how he is around other animals. If you are interested in meeting him, please contact our hospital manager Melissa.

We wanted to update you on some schedule changes for the rest of the year.

Thursday November 28th: The office will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Friday November 29th: The office will be open from 9am-5pm.

Dr Todd and Murphy visited Career Day on Thursday to teach 5th and 6th grade students about becoming a vet. The kids were more excited to meet Murphy than Dr Todd 🤣🤣
