Before and after of Carmella the Miniature American Eskimo Spitz! I groomed her via Zoom on Sunday for my double coated exam! Groomers from all around the world are in the meeting and it’s awesome! I’ll know my score this week.
I also took a written exam which included canine structure & anatomy, creating shape, style & symmetry, handling techniques for senior dogs, dematting and much more. It’s a journey and it’s been fulfilling! 🩷🐾🩷

Just an update about the water situation…
The county says it’s ok to bathe in the water just not injest. I bathed my own dogs yesterday and the pressure was fine, they’re fine today too.
If your pet has a medical condition or you feel uncomfortable, please let me know and we can reschedule!

I passed my Certified Professional Groomer course this past week! I am training through International Professional Groomers. I took 2 tests which I got 97% on both and 100% on my technical groom. This is the “easiest” of tests, now onto the hard work!
I am continuing onto my Advanced Professional Groomer course and then after that it will be my Masters Course. Thank you to Sonya for volunteering MJ!! The Certifiers were happy with him and my gentle handling. 💜
I will be needing volunteers here and there, when the time comes I will ask for your help!

What I need: small longhair dog 20 lbs and under for approx 1 1/2 hours. Your dog MUST have a minimum of 2” of hair. Haircut will be my choice.

This is a NO COST groom, your dog will be on a LIVE ZOOM meeting with my evaluators for the first step of my continuing education with the International Professional Groomers Inc.

Good morning everyone!
I have an update on my schedule.

I am booking into August at the moment and working off of a long wait list. After much consideration I am only going to be accepting CURRENT clients from now on—this includes CATS. 🐈‍⬛ I stopped accepting new dog clients 2 years ago and now the time has come when I have to make the same decision for new cat clients. I want to groom in a safe manner and be as stress free for your pets as possible! That’s my main goal. I can only serve so many pets and still be able to groom in a timely, caring and safe manner.

A little insight about my small salon:
I work solo and I am not allowed to hire any help. It is illegal for me to hire anyone actually. This was directed to me when I had a meeting with Lower Allen Township in 2019. Please reach out with any questions.

I strive to make sure the dogs in my care are as comfortable as possible during their time in my salon. I allow dogs to sit or lay down as long as possible during their groom to minimize stress on their body and mind 🪷

Here is a short list of some of my stress reducing techniques ⬇️
🪷 No crating EVER
🪷 1-on-1 individualized attention
🪷 Decompression Session - I allow the dog as much time as they need to sniff around the salon as I feed them treats before we start grooming
🪷 I only proceed if your pet is willing - My goal is not to "get the job done" but rather that your dog has a safe and pleasant experience in my salon
