Here's Marisol and Thea improvising to Toby Keith's "A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action" at our Friday gathering. Great use of a toy and play to keep it fun. RIP, Toby. 🌿

It was another night of fun and dance at our Steppin' Woofs' gathering. We're working up a new group routine, this time to the 1976 song "I Love to Love" sung by Tina Charles.

This night was our 2nd practice with the song and we had Kelly and Sophie, Marisol and Thea, Johanna dancing with Deb's Trella, Cecily and Gracie and Janet and Zoe. Not bad for a couple youngsters, a borrowed dog, and two pros!

It's the Steppin' Woofs' favorite time of year. We get to step out and entertain! Earlier this month we provided holiday cheer at Celebration Villa but, unfortunately, we have no videos to share from that fun evening.

But for your viewing pleasure we hope you enjoy Cecily's and Gracie's routine from 2022. We wish you all a wonderful Christmas time!

The Wag Time Dancers (Sue and Laddie, Janet and Zoe, Cecily and Gracie, and Cooper and I) competed as a Newcomer team in the Rally-FrEe Musical Freestyle World Wide 1 Video competition on June 5th, 2023 dancing to "Every Breath You Take" by the Police.

Not only did we earn a qualifying score but we placed first with our video. This qualifying score was also enough for our team to receive a Musical Freestyle Newcomer Title.

This was a first Freestyle title for most of our team members. We had a blast working on it and learning together!

A contest was held on another freestyle page asking for a poem or a Haiku describing freestyle. Here's Deb's submissions for her dogs Cait and Trella:

The Poem:
A herding partner she was to be
But injuries were coming before she was three.
Being of sharp wit, we just couldn’t quit
RFE and Freestyle seemed a good fit.
And now 14, Cait entertains with glee.

The Haiku:
Smart pup named Trella
Learned how to bow, leg lift, weave
Add music - we dance!

Not bad for a first-time poet!

The Steppin' Woofs family lost one of its four-footed stars today. Sue's Bleu has passed on after 12 years of giving joy to all he met. With a sparkle in his eye, always happy, and loving to dance, Bleu lived life to the fullest. Our thoughts go out to Sue and Lennie at this time.

But no doubt Bleu would want us to remember him at his finest. Here's a video we hope you enjoy of him and Sue having a blast at a class dance recital. Dance on, Bleu...

We're back on the road performing!

November is a month of remembrance of those who serve our nation and a month of thanks. We performed at the SpiriTrust Lutheran Village in Gettysburg, dancing to patriotic songs and songs of gratitude. Click the links below to see how much fun we had.

Here's a video showing us working up the group routine to "In the Mood". The dogs crack me up. They go from "What are we doing now?" to "Oh, I get it!". The final take is not at all polished but the routine has potential and we had fun!

Getting "In the Mood" at our Steppin' Woofs' gathering. Much fun!
