I have two daughters and a son. Both of my daughters, Shelby and Olivia, love to assist with the kitten rescue and care for the kittens. They are such a big help. Shelby, my older daughter, is my right hand when I cannot be here or if I am away at work. She has trained and learned closely beside me about proper neonate care for the last 3 years. She wishes to continue kitten rescue when she is an

adult and out on her own! I work a full time job and a part time job, in addition to kitten rescue. Alix's Fosters is not yet a non profit, but that is the long term goal. Because of this, we don't qualify for grants or large business donations, just the help of the community with purchase off of our amazon supply wish list or venmo, cash app and paypal donations.

‼️😫Water crisis in Richmond and surrounding:
Recent snow in Richmond knocked out power at our water plant and then further equipment failure worsened the situation. Lots of people have NO water (us) and those that do are under a boil advisory. This concerns me not only bc of my own kiddos but bc of our kitties as well AND having a device implanted in my chest last week - they’re very particular about keeping it clean and it not getting infected. Definitely don’t realize basic luxuries until ya don’t have them 😢

I came home from the hospital earlier and it was a quick procedure that went well 💕 I am in my new home doing my best to heal, move on and adjust to such big changes. The girls are playful and loving as ever and full of energy - they don’t care where they are, as long as they’re fed, warm and loved on 🥰 check, check, check!

Here we are - another cardiac procedure- and I’m back here waiting - worried about and dealing with cat business 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ Loop recorder implant today! Just about finished up with this move (staying local) but it’s been a lot on us!! Will be relived to get this implant done and settled in our new place to try to get back to usual !
