Love getting updates of Lucky! This one came at a great time today as a reminder that a dog’s past does not need to dictate their future. The ones who need a little extra are worth fighting for.
Love getting updates on Lucky! This one came at a great time today as a reminder that a dog’s past does not need to dictate their future. The ones who need a little extra time and work are usually that way because humans have failed them, and they are worth fighting for.
This video doesn’t seem that exciting, but what you’re looking at is a dog who has internalized calming behaviors after previously having zero control.
🥹 Get ready for lots of Stuart posts, because I’m so freakin proud of how far he’s come and he’s been making huge strides recently! This video doesn’t seem that exciting, but what you’re looking at is a dog who has internalized calming behaviors after previously having zero control. He got overwhelmed (the chickens scared him earlier). Previously he would have gone into a digging fit and then came at me. Here, he catches himself getting worked up, shakes off, and begins to sniff to further calm himself.
Our foster pup, Napoleon, is such a good boy. Send good vibes for his meet & greet this weekend 🤞
Izzy worked so hard while she was here and she’s ready to shine for her adopters! Reach out today if you are interested in this near-perfect girl!
Izzy!

Izzy is a smidge obsessed with Scott. He was only gone for about 30 seconds. Listen to the tail!
And yes, she’s still here! She has a meet & greet next week, so we’re hanging on to her until then to reduce the stress of moving around if it works out. 🤞
I’m so proud of Izzy! She has one of the strongest prey drives I’ve ever seen, so progressing to disengaging from small animals on her own is huge for her 👏

You can not train a dog’s prey drive out of them. You can, however, practice lots of skills and also make sure their needs are being satisfied with safe and appropriate activities. That does not mean it’s safe to put them with small animals, so Izzy still needs a home without small animals :)
We use errorless learning to build muscle memory so that responses become automatic, even during intense or distracting situations. After an intense session of tug with a new & exciting toy, Izzy was able to process and immediately respond to the “drop” cue.
Good girl ❤️

Who wouldn’t want this walking buddy?
Keeping his skills sharp for his meet & greet tomorrow ❤️ The way he kicks his legs out reminds me of a piglet!
Wrecking ball
Chonky little wrecking ball!
He tries to stop himself,
but he can’t seem to make the brakes work 😂
Molly gets a wee bit excited by literally everything
Molly gets a wee bit excited by literally everything. Between her pounces and little nub wagging a mile a minute, I just can’t handle the cuteness ❤️ Had to back the excitement down and start with slow movements and a soft voice to keep her from becoming overly excited and to keep my kneecaps in place 😂
