✨ Reflecting on 2024, Stepping Into 2025 with Hope ✨
As 2024 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on everything this year has brought us—the challenges, the growth, and the moments that reminded us why we do what we do.

🌟 This Year’s Highlights:

• Watching the incredible connection between humans and
horses bring healing and strength to service members, veterans, first responders, and their families.

• Continuing to offer our programs at no cost, thanks to the amazing support of this community.

• Facing the hurdles that come with running a nonprofit and pushing forward because the mission matters so much.
2024 was a year of learning and resilience, and we are so grateful for everyone who stood by us and believed in the work we’re doing.

💡 Looking Ahead to 2025:

We’re stepping into the new year with big goals and open hearts. In 2025, we’re excited to expand what we offer, reach more people who need these services, and continue building a community where healing happens.

To everyone who has supported Mended Sparrow this year—whether by volunteering, donating, or cheering us on from afar—you’ve been part of this journey, and we couldn’t do it without you.

📣 NEW BOARD MEMBER!!📣

We are super excited to announce Christopher Ray has joined MSI’s Board of Directors! Let’s welcome him!

Christopher Ray has 37 years of experience in the fire service and currently serves as the EMS Supervisor and Tactical Medic Team Leader for Henrico County, Virginia. His career began at age 15 as a junior firefighter in Centerburg, Ohio, and he has since become a Nationally Registered Paramedic with over 20 years of service, including credentials as a Critical Care Paramedic. Christopher holds a bachelor’s degree in fire administration, an associate's degree in fire science, and an associate's degree in applied science in paramedicine.
Throughout his career, Christopher has been dedicated to improving team performance, fostering interagency collaboration, and advancing tactical medical operations. He is committed to leadership development and succession planning to ensure the long-term success of his organization. As a certified PEER Supporter with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), he actively contributes to Henrico County’s PEER Support Team and is a member of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), supporting the mental health and well-being of first responders and the community.
