Archie took one of his last field trips with us to Taylor Farm Park and there were tons of dogs, kids, and construction happening all around us so it was the perfect place to work on Archie’s reactivity! He was on his best behavior and chose to stay focused on Trainer Ashley rather than all the excitement around him! Such a good Archie man!

Welcome Gracie to BTK9 for a 3 week board and train! This pretty girl is a bit insecure, so some major confidence building is in order. She doesn't like collars being put on or taken off, doesn't settle in the car, and pesters her older sibling something fierce! We will work hard to give this beauty the manners to match.
Kai made her go home debut today😊. She is known to be a reactive dog. So, we did passbys as well with our GSD, Neo. Her family even said her non-reactivity when she initially saw Neo would have never happened in the past💪. We are so proud of you Kai!

Mowgli's mom was so happy yo see him today...and he, her😊. She was blown away by his leash manners and, the other work he has learned to do. She is looking forward to boarding Mowgli in the future💪. We love you Mowgs!
Kai heads home tomorrow and has rocked her field trips out in the world! One of her most recent was a trip to Meadowview park where she got to roam a bit with her long line dragging while Trainer Ashley recalled her back to her every once in a while! This is a great way to let your dog explore and have a bit of freedom while still implementing commands and structure! She also loved building confidence by hopping up onto new surfaces! Great job, Kai! We’ll miss you, pretty girl!
Tugboat was reunited with his family today! Everyone was very happy to see each other. We are excited to know this sweet pup will be coming back soon for boarding!

Nova took a field trip to Pole Green dog park and spent a lot of time just calmly observing dogs from a distance! We slowly allowed her to get closer as she was seeming comfortable and she politely sniffed a few pups through the fence! Good girl, Nova!
Pretty Lilly headed home with her owner yesterday and to say she was excited to see her would be an understatement! These two were so happy to be reunited and mom now has the tools to continue to work on some of Lilly’s naughty habits at home! We’ll miss ya, girl!

Our second arrival of the day is this cutie patootie named Monte! Monte was rescued from a kill shelter in California and has since struggled to trust people! Those handsome looks can be deceiving though! Mom said he’s an ankle biter and he’s definitely skeptical of this new BTK9 lifestyle he’s been thrown in to! We hope to build his confidence over the next few weeks while teaching him his basics to help his owners be able to communicate with him once home! Welcome, Monte!
Welcome Fynn to our training program! Fynn is no stranger to BTK9 and his brother Auggie has already passed our program with flying colors! Fynn’s been introduced to his prong and Ecollar already so this boy is well on his way to following in Auggie’s footsteps! 😍

One of Mowgli’s biggest struggles has been his dog reactivity! We worked him today with Laika close by and he did so well! He was a controllable level of interested in her and was able to greet her politely after some duel training time! Good job, Mr. Mowgli!
Mr. Tugboat has made so much progress with his obedience! We challenged his impulse control today by throwing fun toys around him and also walking out of his sight while he stayed put on place! Good job, Tugboat!
Lilly, Jodie, and Kai headed to Taylor Farm Park today and had a blast exploring! There were a ton of people there skateboarding, playing, and walking and the girls did a great job staying focused on their handlers instead of the new distractions! Good job, ladies!
