Aside from being a resource guarder, Tucker is also an infamous loud mouth 🤣 He barks a Lot! At new people, other dogs, you name it. A strong place command has given Tucker an opportunity to slow his mind down. In this case, the electricians could walk in and out of the rooms, and Tucker just quietly absorbed their presence.

Revie is also still a puppy, so using the opportunity to provide some positive exposure to her while we had the new lights installed. The more new sights and sounds you can introduce your puppy to in a positive way, will only help them mature into a more well balanced and confident dog.

We use every opportunity to train. Electricians were here today to install new lighting. Juno's here for severe reactivity towards unfamiliar people and dogs. Over the past few days, we have immersed Juno with positive exposure. Today's real life scenario shows the progress he is making!

Hound puppy Clyde was struggling to heel without his nose getting the best of him. We have been practicing our heeling along the fence line so we can use the narrowness to keep his focus on moving forward. Seems to be patterning this goal!

Lizzy's owners said she would only "out" if they bribed her with a high value treat. She's now doi g it almost before I can say the command! 😆

Savannah Pearl is a young puppy who is learning her basic manners, while also having fun. I am using both verbal commands and verbal markers along with treats and praise to reward her when she understands each new command.

Meet Astrid, our newest arrival! Astrid is a one year old Great Dane pup. She thinks she has to react in the house at the door, and on walks. Speaking of walks, she's not so great on the leash either😉. It's also reported that she has selective hearing...she might respond when there's no distractions. We think we have the right prescription for this pretty girl😊.

One of Tucker's owners' main requests was for us to work on his increasing resource guarding. Exercises like this one, teach Tucker "leave it" and stronger impulse control.
