It is with much sadness that we must inform our fans that we are winterizing the pool for 2024 without actually having opened. 😭 Hopefully 2025 will be a better year.

Just letting folks know we've been back a week and still trying. The water itself is actually clear but the bottom of the pool is covered with algae and my robot isn't working. I've been hopping in and hand scrubbing. Keep your fingers crossed we can get in before we have to close.

Well fans I was hoping to announce today that we were opening after we had nice water on Sunday last week (top), but with the weather this week and being at a conference all week we had the bottom. 😭 Hopefully we can turn it back quickly.

After being oh so close to opening the last two weeks the pool took a turn on us and is very gross again. We are looking at getting a new pump for the pool. 😔🏊

Ok Facebook fans after a month of trying to get the pool clean one way we 'punted' and started a new way last weekend and it's working. First picture is May 27, Second picture is Monday, June 17 and the last picture is today (Thursday, June 20). I'm hopeful we will be able to start taking clients soon. Thanks everyone for your patience.

I've had lots of questions about when we are going to open so here is an update. All parts have finally arrived and been assembled. We started scooping the pool, but it's worse than I've ever seen. We super chlorinated the pool and will continue. Be patient with us we are trying and look forward to welcoming back our old friends and new friends this season. 🏊🏄🐶

We do have a baby dock we can use if needed. All dogs have different ability levels. We never force a dog off the dock.

Congratulations Michelle and Matty on passing your CGCA. You guys were the first to complete this test under me. Also congratulations to Lightning, Mollie and Nellie on passing your CGC. Finally, congratulations to Hiccup, Goose, Bamalee, and Spencer on passing your AKC STAR Puppy tests. Classes begin again next week! Thanks everyone for your patience tonight. Testing always takes longer than I expect.

I have a separate page for our breeding program and deer recovery, but this is an update that needs shared here as Brayden has been active in helping teach training classes at Kirkwood for almost a year! Congratulations!!! I can't wait to see the things you guys accomplish together.

Let's start announcing some of our exciting Spring/Summer updates. First off, Bocephus is now living with Brayden and his family. He is going to be doing training with her for obedience, upland and waterfowl hunting. She will start health testing this fall. Congratulations Brayden.

With losing Libby earlier this month I had to decide who to do CGC testing with and Bocephus has stepped up nicely at only 17 months old she has tested 4 dogs and done phenomenal.

If you have taken a CGC test with me in the last 6-7 years there is a good chance you met Libby (or rather your dog ignored her ;) ), unfortunately we said goodbye to her on 2/6/24. She tested close to 100 dogs during this time and ventured to class other times to demonstrate skills. She also showcased her training with Paige in agility, rally, obedience and showmanship over the years in 4H. Hug your dogs and enjoy your training with them as you never know when their journey will end.
