🐾🏩 𝐁𝐫𝐢, 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭

We welcomed Bri to the Homestead crew in October 2023, and she has been a wonderful addition to our team of Assistants. Being homeschooled during high school gave her the opportunity to work on a farm during the day. It was there she fell in love with caring for animals and knew she wanted to continue to work in the animal field. Bri's favorite part is that there is always something new to learn in the vet field. It was a tough choice to choose between cats or dogs, but Bri leaned more towards dogs. Her favorite breed is the Irish Wolfhound, of which one of her pets, Maggie - who is pictured with her below - is. 🐕 She also has two cats 🐈 - Groot a polydactyl Domestic Shorthair - meaning he has extra toes - and Raven a Bengal. Some of Bri's hobbies include fishing 🎣, watching football (Go Chiefs!)🏈 and spending time at home with her pets and family. 🏠

Kenzie joined our team in August 2024 and is our most recent addition to our reception staff. She is currently enrolled in the online Veterinary Technician program through Penn Foster, but jumped at the receptionist opportunity to get her foot in the door. Kenzie grew up with a love for animals and knew very young that she wanted to work with them and have hand in helping them live their best lives. She is a dog lover and loves the Labrador breed. Kenzie has a menagerie of pets at home: Woodford a Quarter Horse 🐴, Lucy a Silver Labrador 🐕, Moose a Chocolate Labrador 🐕, Ranger a German Shepherd 🐕, Beans and Hemi, both Domestic Shorthairs 🐈, Dobby a Leopard Gecko 🦎, and Mango a Bearded Dragon 🦎. Some of Kenzie's hobbies include reading 📖, horseback riding 🐎, watching hockey 🏒 and listening to Kpop 🎶

🐾🏩 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐛𝐢, 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭

We welcomed Shelbi to the team in October 2019. She came to us with experience from other local clinics and started off joining our reception staff. After a few years, Shelbi was able to transition to working more as a Veterinary Assistant, and she has become an invaluable part of the team being able to work in two different areas. Shelbi grew up with a love for animals and knew very early that she wanted to make a career involving them. She loves the whole process of being involved in helping people's pets, whether it's a healthy visit or a sick visit. Shelbi loves dogs which is quite evident by her photo below. She has a big four-legged crew at home: Wrangler an Aussie/Hound mix 🐕, Coco a Shih Tzu 🐕, Loki a Seal point Domestic Long Hair 🐈, Freyja a Calico Domestic Medium Hair 🐈, Goblin a Tabby Domestic Short Hair 🐈, and Mama a rabbit 🐇. When Shelbi's not working, she enjoys reading 📖, hiking ⛰ and painting 🎨.

🐾🏩 𝐋𝐢𝐳, 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭

Liz has been a part of the team since 2014! After finishing the Vet Assistant program through Penn Foster Online, she reached out to Homestead and has been here ever since! Liz has grown and honed her skills throughout the years at Homestead and is now the lead Vet Assistant as well as a social media contributor. She has always loved animals from a young age, but it wasn't until volunteering at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, that Liz knew she wanted to pursue a career in the vet field. Some of her favorite parts about the job are working on posts for social media, forming relationships with clients and their pets and seeing pets coming in that have gone through major illness/injury that are now all healed and living healthy lives! Liz is the biggest fan of every black cat that comes through our doors and has her own Domestic Long Hair cat called Ivy 🐈‍⬛ She also loves the Bengal and Maine C**n cat breeds. In her free time, Liz loves going to hockey games 🏒, concerts 🎶, playing video games 🎮, reading 📖, and most recently, playing pickleball! 🏓

Kasey joined the Homestead team in September 2021. She started out working as a Vet Assistant and then transitioned to join the reception staff. Kasey's welcoming and friendly presence makes her a great addition. After losing one of her pets and seeing firsthand some of the roles in the vet field, that was when she knew she wanted to pursue a career with animals. Kasey's favorite part is greeting all the clients and their pets. She is a big fan of bulldogs, especially English Bulldogs, but she also loves cuddling kittens. Kasey has two pets: Gunnar a Catahoula Leopard 🐕 and Simba a Domestic Shorthair 🐈 In her free time, Kasey loves attending car shows 🚘, camping ⛺️ and four-wheeling in the Adirondacks ⛰.
