Adoption update:
Hayden was very shy when she came into our care a month ago. She slowly came out of her shell and started interacting with our volunteers. She was adopted two days ago, and while she has done some hiding, we were thrilled to see how happy she is already.
"Hayden is doing really well so far. She was apprehensive the first night, but she has come out of her shell a little! She is eating well, and spends most of her time under our bed. But she comes out to spend time with us, and really enjoys being brushed."
We work hard to make good matches, but it doesn’t always work out. Unfortunately, that was the case with Millie this week and she is back at the Shelter once again looking for a home. She is a great dog, but will need time to settle into a new home so her new family should be prepared for her to be a bit anxious while that happens. She had a nice play date with Bayly, a great Pyrenees who was adopted from us as a puppy last year. He has a huge backyard and is so generous about letting dogs come over and play. Please share to help her find the right home. She needs an active family, and more training. Like many Labs, she lives for her tennis balls and playing fetch.

Leaf and Sprig were excited for freshly picked basil. We are so lucky to have a volunteer who plants and maintains a garden so we have fresh greens for the critters. The panting in the background is courtesy of Beatrice who was hanging out in the lobby before leaving for her foster home.

Mr. Fuzzy enjoys an occasional oat grass treat. This sweet little guy is very social and enjoys being petted. He’s one of five adoptable guinea pigs in our care.
