A quick video of some secondary obedience with Driven. Every handler at one point or other in any type of protection sports is working through a conflict of maintaining the dog strength in both active aggression and obedience with a handler. In my situation control is not just about points but about safety and allowing me to do what I do. Here I have a slight conflict with the dog being too attentive to me during the secondary obedience and not looking at the helper on the queue of “helper”. In order to bridge the behavior I gave Driven the queue engage with the helper instead of it coming from the helper doing it this way the dog is not making mistakes if the helper was too flinch or the dog thinks the helper was about to move. I know it's not the traditional way of teaching this but a lot of the things I do not traditional. A huge thank you too my helper, Eddie Hayes for his trust in my handling skills, and for his continued openness to take my instructions. Also, a huge thank you to Bethany Brown for the week after week, help with my dogs. I truly would not be able to do what I do without my club and my friends.

Title: Dopamine box with Driven.

About a week and a half ago I started working on the dopamine box with Driven. This is something new to both of us. I have played with a concept in the past, but really did not dive into it until recently. if you’re unfamiliar with the concept, then a quick YouTube or Google should lead you to some videos explaining it more. My ultimate goal is to use it with tracking but also focus in obedience. Today was the first day that I waited for a behavior. In this case it was to stare in the box or keep the head in the box.
