🐾 Today is Celebrate Shelter Pets Day! 🐾

While we wish there were no homeless pets, it’s a bittersweet day. We’re honored to meet so many adorable, unique faces with goofy, loving personalities—and guide them into their furever homes. 💕

Shelter animals aren’t broken; they’re deserving companions waiting for a family to show them the love they truly deserve. During their stay with us, we do everything we can to make them feel loved, appreciated, and safe.

Let’s celebrate the incredible resilience and love of shelter pets today and every day! 🐶🐱

🐾 Meet Lola – Available Today at Noon! 🐾

This is sweet Lola, our brave 11-year-old girl, pictured pre-op. Last week, Lola underwent a double-eye enucleation to relieve the severe pain caused by her eyes which were prone to infections. Now, she’s feeling SO much better! 🌟

After some much-needed recovery time, Lola is all tail-wags and is ready to find her fur-ever home. This resilient and loving senior deserves all the comfort and care in the world. 💕

On behalf of everyone - both two- and four-legged - at Providence Animal Center, we extend our biggest thanks for the incredible support we received this year on . We exceeded our goal and raised $84,531!

With these donations, we will provide even more pets with essential care, tending to their medical needs, continue crucial community programming, transports, and create adoption successes for the orphaned pets here at Providence.

✨Today is ! It's the perfect day to pawse to give and make a difference in the lives of the orphaned pets who are searching for hope this holiday season - like 8-month-old Ace, who was surrendered after his owner was unable to handle his level of activity. When he arrived at the shelter, he was nervous, scared and confused. The overwhelm of the shelter environment caused him to shake uncontrollably.

But after the luxury of time, patience, love, trust, and the space to just be a dog, which we are fortunate to be able to provide at our safe havens, Ace started to decompress and showed us what an amazing dog he is. Check him out today, in the photos in the comments section.

🐶 Happy National Mutt Day! 🐶

Today, we celebrate the lovable, unique, and oh-so-adorable mutts that fill our hearts with joy every day! ❤️

And speaking of adorable pups... Ida, the 3-month-old cutie, and her siblings Carmen, Katrina, and Helene will be making their adoption debut TOMORROW at noon! 🕛

🌟We are just one day away from , and we wanted to introduce you to a dog who benefits from your donation. Lola was left on a shelter’s doorstep in a cardboard box. A heartbreaking note accompanied her, “I can no longer care for her. Please find her a good home.”

We estimate that Lola is an 11-year-old senior dog. She is completely blind. Despite her trials and tribulations, she is happy and sweet and wags her tail at the sound of her name. Once strangers, the lifesavers at the shelter have become her family and are helping to heal her heart and her body. Lola’s painful eyes, prone to infection, have been removed, and she is recovering as you read this.

Your support today, or tomorrow on Giving Tuesday, allows us to save the Lolas of the world and do whatever it takes to prepare and provide them with their ultimate forever homes.
