We feel that in order to feel good about your investment, you need to be well informed and comfortable with our operation. We go to great lengths to make sure that this is the case with every landowner. Corzatt Family Farms is a growth and profit oriented operation. We will adopt practices in our operation that allow profitable growth, while challenging individuals in our operation to grow persona

lly. In 2007, we entered a yield contest in which we achieved a yield of 262 bushels to the acre. With the knowledge we obtained and hard diligent work, we were able to obtain an unprecedented 338 bushels to the acre in 2008. Our operation works hard for each landowner through good stewardship practices that protect landowners' assets and provide maximum return on your investment. The farm operation consists of three generations of family cultivated by education and a strong relationship with our community. Jon Corzatt graduated from Western Illinois University in 1982 with an Agriculture Science degree. In 1985, Jon married Lisa and they have two children, Nathan and Abby. From 1997-2005 Jon served on the local school board, during many of those years he also served as president. Currently, Jon sits on the township board and serves as an elder for our church. Nathan graduated from Western Illinois University in 2008 with an Agriculture Science degree. In his time at Western Illinois, Nathan made the dean's list multiple semesters and held officer positions in several student clubs and organizations. Nathan married his wife Amanda in 2010. They currently have four children, Linny, Tucker, Grady and Hunter. They reside on the multigenerational farmstead near Raritan, IL. Currently, he serves as a deacon on their church board as well as helping coach and teach at many of the kids' events.

Corn looks good, but we could use a little rain. Hopefully we will finish nitrogen mid week and get a nice rain to follow.

The corn spent many cold days in the ground, but it is up and growing. Spring has officially sprung around here.

Not everyday is just planting and playing with big equipment. With the help of a local machine shop we were able to get the right tubing and get it welded back together.

We were able to get done with striptilling before the last rain. Lots of late nights and early mornings, but it feels good to be done. We added nitrogen to the strips this year instead of just P&K. I am excited to see how that looks next growing season.

Harvest is in the books. The entire crew went hard from sun up to sun down. 3 field changes and 140 acres today to finish in the rain. It was a good day.

I got this automatic door opener about 7 years ago. It seems to be working now, but the constant upkeep is a lot.

Everything is a go today.

Done with that. On to the next.

It’s not very often we handle small square bales, but these guys worked hard to get them stacked into place.

One day you’re picking corn and then you are not. Broke the main belt. Home to get a splice and get it back to running.

Not a job anyone wants to do. To much rain and nowhere for the water to. Just a couple days of replant and planting season will be in the books.

Hard to believe that the water supply wasn’t frozen with the exterior looking like this. Yikes it’s cold.
