Jescee Mowen has been an amazing Animal Control Officer for Fort Scott. After being wrongfully terminated, this strong animal advocate is using her voice to do what’s right for the animals of bourbon county. Since Jescee was in office as the ACO, several Fort Scott residents have expressed how safe they felt with their furbabies and how hard Jess works to find loving homes for each pet in her care. Fort Scott needs her and our animals need her!!

On Saturday I had an amazing opportunity to help out some sweet rescue pups. These poor things were COVERED in clusters of ticks, sores, and open wounds. With the help of another amazing local groomer we cleaned these sweethearts up, pulled ticks for hours (literally) and bathed, loved, petted and talked to Chase (blue) and Everest (pink). We worked for 5.5 hours but I absolutely loved being able to do this for them. This is where my heart is, this is what is most rewarding to me. I hope these love bugs find all the happiness in the world. They absolutely deserve it 💔

🐞 BUG OFF BUTTER- doggos LOVE the great outdoors, but bringing hitch hikers inside are no fun for anyone. This natural butter is a great insect repellent without nasty chemicals. Dab on and reapply as needed made with natural herbs and big repelling oils. I’m happy to share an ingredient list 😊
