Throwback Thursday with Greyson!

5 DAYS TO GO
We have just added something to this event! One of our volunteers made these adorable wood fox ornaments for all the kids attending, so we decided to have a little contest. To be entered to win a one on one home visit with Santa we ask you to decorate your fox, snap a picture and post to our page. Our volunteers will be voting on which one they like the best! We can hardly wait to see these “foxnaments”
Visit with Santa will be a mutually agreed upon time and is good for this season or the 2025 holiday season

You go Wheeler!!! Wheeler is having a teaching moment with Monte. Monte at 6 months old is trying to show Wheeler he is the dominant fox, Wheeler is a very shy, timid fox and usually lets Monte have his way….not today little buddy! Time for Monte to learn some manners. Check out Wheeler’s left paw braced on the enclosure😂

Meet Zoey aka the Mom Fox! Here she is stretching out for the weekend and showing off her tiny toe beans.
Zoey came to FTS after she was found shot in the wild, she was identified as captive bred due to the pink collar she was wearing. After recuperating from surgery with Stark Parks she was released to us.
She is known as our Mom fox since she LOVES babies and raised Stinky, Lola, Cole, Wheeler, Grayson and Louie. She also has a keen sense of people and will alert the other foxes and us if she senses something “off” in people with alarm barking. We have all learned to pay attention, she is seldom wrong!!!

King of the Tower!

Productive Sunday morning… match made between Rebel and Smokey…

Last one for tonight- Smokey digs his first hole!’

First of two videos promised. This is Felix one of our newest members of the Fox Tale Sanctuary crew. Felix is a what is known as a Silver fox which belongs to the same species as the red fox (Vulpes). Silver foxes have higher levels of melanin in their generic makeup. They represent 10% of the entire red fox species. We currently are the home to 9 silver foxes. The video shows the long, soft, glossy fur they are known for. At the end of the video you will see when I pet his tail upward the amount of white/silver under the black fur is amazing. Rubbing his little paws is just because he enjoys it!

Adorbs….

Joanne Marston entertaining our newest fox, baby Felix, while I multitask at the end of the night. This little guy, coming to us at 6 months of age, is SO friendly and social. He is separated from the crew right now until he is fully vetted, neutered and chipped. Since he has been indoors to this point, todays hot weather had me bringing him in-house, while I worked. Tonight, Felix is being spoiled, and sleeping with me. Wish me luck on getting any sleep 🤦🏻‍♀️🤪🤷🏻‍♀️❤️🦊

Felix is settling in like a little champ! He loves bellies rubs, and really loves of any kind! Such a sweetie. This guy is going to need a sponsor…if you are interested please reach out. Not sure…..rumor has it he will be making an appearance at our fundraiser on October 1st. Get your tickets early!
