Candlelight walk is this weekend!

The 40th annual Candlelight Walk is nearly here! Make plans to attend the various events this weekend. Attached is a map of parking options in the Uptown area. NOTE: The Castle Noel parking lot will be CLOSED.

There will also be three free shuttles routes running every 20 minutes:
*Gold Line - Medina County Fairgrounds
*Red Line - Common Grounds, 220 N. State St.
*Green Line - Medina High School Performing Arts Center

The parade starts at 5:30PM leaving the Medina High School. Anticipate the front of the parade reaching Public Square around 6PM. There will be fireworks from the top of the parking deck behind the Common Pleas Courthouse directly after the parade. There will be several street closures during the parade and fireworks.

Quills Daily Ink it’s Saturday! Shop opens 9-5

We are less than a week away from The Medina Ohio Candlelight Walk! Can’t wait to see you!

Shop is finally decorated for the Holidays and we have all the toys, collars and treats for good little kitties and dogs!

Carruth studio order is on its way, and we will post pics when we get the pieces in. George’s work is very whimsical, fairies, faces, fruits, veggies, Dogs and cats!
These outdoor or indoor sculptures make a great gift!

Quill’s Daily Ink: Mum’s store is turning 15!
Mum, is so very grateful to everyone who shops small at our Sweet Little Dog Bakery.

In the early days she was told she wasn’t going to make it. She ignored the comments and she feels she brings something special to the City of Medina.

You bring joy to her every day with the many dogs who stop by the shop, she truly cares about your pets. She is grateful every day for the blessings, support and love from you, our customers.

So, thanks! Cheers to the next chapter!

Quills Daily Ink: Mum is the first to admit she has a collar addiction. The last batch of Christmas collars just arrived and Mum said it was like Christmas because she ordered these months ago and forgot what they were. So it was a surprise to open the box!

She was not disappointed, she predicts the penguin collar will sell out, it’s so adorable! So many pretty ones! For best selection shop early!!!

Quills Daily ink:

Mum has always loved fall. Me too!
This last quarter of the year is her very favorite time of the year.

Fall, has all the glorious colors, crisp, cool weather and when the sunlight hits all those colors, it, kinda of, takes your breath away.

Mum took Uma and I for a walk around the pond and, as she tossed the pumpkins over the fence for the deer, I thought this moment right now, was magical.

Take time to savor those wee magical moments.

Quills Daily ink: Mum, my Aunt Jane and Uncle Finn accomplished all of Mums goals and then some. My Aunt Jane was a star, fast, focused and was poetry in motion when she was running. She was a quiet girl, always thinking and it’s one of the reasons she was a # 1 Deerhound in 2008. 10 years later I hit Mums goal for me, and I was the # 1 Deerhound in 2018 for racing. Funny, how things come full circle.

Mum says one of the reasons why she picked me, was, that I reminded her so much of my Auntie Jane.

Ever wonder where I come up with my treat names.

Riggs, he was one of my many first customers, he loved every single one of my treats. And if he really liked them, his ears would stand up, like when he had his first monkey bone.

Our 26th treat flavor 11 years ago, is named after him, he was gone way too soon, so very loved by his family and myself. Next time your in the shop, try a Riggs treat for your fav pup.

I have been stock piling Moose Antlers for about a month or more because they are natural shed and he sells out of them. They are color coded by weight/density red for puppies, blue, green, brown and yellow for the monster chewers.

They are all cut differently, so if your dog likes a particular antler size and width, split or not. We have many options. Just ask us and we will be happy to help you choose one for your chewer.

We also have red deer, elk, stag which are all split, water Buffalo as well.

Shop early, if gifting for the holidays.

Quills daily ink: Mum says time flies, the time we spend with her alive and after we have crossed. A day doesn’t go by that she doesn’t think of the ones who have crossed.

Quills Daily Ink: Mum has started holiday decorating the shop, please don’t judge her! She has to be decorated by Candlelight walk which is coming up fast!

Sports team, Christmas bandanas and Christmas collars are out. The gobble gobble collars for Thanksgiving are super cute too!!! Oh and we have thanksgiving bandanas too!!!

Some holiday toys are out, but not all of them!
