Quills Daily Ink: yesterday Mum said a bunch of local teachers came by, they wanted to bring students around to different small businesses to give them insight on what it’s like to own a small business.

One of the questions they asked Mum was what was a con. Mum said time, your time, is devoted to your small business. Some small business owners have the help or they can close for a week, so they can take vacations and recharge, but that is not Mums case.

She does most everything, what she should have also said as a con is she hates to disappoint people.
Today, for the first time in awhile she did just that,
She couldn’t make a party bone for a customer.

If you have purchased a party bone over the years at mums shop for your dogs birthday in the early days her kitchen was in the main part of the shop, she was baking everyday and could make a party bone on the fly. Now we need advance order notification, it was 24-48 hours, but now we need a weeks notice.

Mum will always try to accommodate whenever she can, most days she has the much smaller happy birthday treats in stock, but they sell out fast.

Most small businesses and local small restaurants really want your business, they try to go that extra mile. Some days due to family obligations or just life in general, they have to put themselves first.

For all the times, Mum may have had to close, leave early or not been able to accommodate a customers wish, we are sorry, we value our customers, you are our extended family.

Shop is open til 6pm today have a good day!

Quills Daily ink: Mum says, days like today, she would like to stay home with us and soak in all of our lovely doggyness. We, are seniors, and these days, she wants every moment with us that she can get.

So, my advise to you, put down that device and soak in the real moments, the ones that matter, whatever they may be, because they are, what is, truly important.

Quills Daily Ink: Sneak Peak!!!

I’m not going to lie, Mums fav time of the year is Christmas and she received in the mail yesterday the Christmas toys she ordered. I know, it’s a wee bit early, but with all the junk she’s been dealing with, it def made her day and why she loves the season. The company out did itself this year, they are super cute!!! She has her fav!!!!

It’s joyful, and we all could use a wee bit of Joy right now!

Now these toys will not be put out until we decorate, for the season which will be soon, the girls and I are really wanting to decorate now, because we are so excited this year, but we are holding ourselves back.
We want to make the shop magical!

We will make an announcement with a post on our socials when they are out, for best selection shop early, these toys will fly out of the shop this year!

Mum wants to thank everyone who commented, on her post about her Aunt’s passing and the closing of the shop yesterday so she could go to her funeral. She appreciated every comment and kind word. 💜
She read every post! So, Thank You!

The last month and a half have been a wee bit overwhelming emotionally and the support and kind words have meant so very much.

She was able to spend time with family who she hadn’t seen in awhile because they live so far and it was a blessing to be able to see them and support them.

She drove the entire trip in a day and she is def going to be a zombie today at the shop.🤪

🍀But the shop will open normal business hours today, Saturday 9-5 we will not have a late opening.

She is very sorry if anyone came to the shop yesterday and we missed you. We value your business and appreciate everyone who shops at our wee business. We all thank you very much💜💜💜
